I have a few songs that cheer me up no matter my mood. These songs have no meaning in relation to my mood, but rather the vocals, acoustics, or melody uplift me.

The Republic Tigers - "Buildings & Mountains"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "By The Way"
Moby - "Ooh Yeah (Jeremy Wheatly Radio Mix)"

I was wondering if anyone has this effect from songs that just seemingly make their mood better. If so...what are your songs?

Yeah, there are a lot, they've changed over time, right now, off the top of my head, I'd say:

days before you came - placebo

my heroine - silverstein

red is the new black - funeral of a friend

Queen - Don't Try So Hard

^^ VERY uplifting.

Queen - Need Your Loving Tonight

Freddie Mercury - Living On My Own

^^ I can actually relate to these at the moment, and the situations are sad, but something about their up-beat instrumentation makes me happy.

The The - This Is The Day

Foo Fighters - No Way Back

I'll think of more.

I actually started listening to yet another song that struck me as amazing the first time I heard it, which is rare.

Great Lake Swimmers - "Everything Is Moving So Fast"

Download it if you get a chance, or at least sample 30 sec. from Amazon. It's a really amazing song and very uplifting.
