Has anyone heard of Jodi Picoult? She seems to be quite a prolific writer. I currently own about 10 or so of her books (I think) and have, so far, read 2 of them. The first one I read was a book called Mercy. However, the second one I read was a book called Nineteen Minutes. I will only tell you what is written on the synopsis. It focuses on a guy called Peter Houghton who was bullied very badly at school and decided to take his revenge by going into the school one day and shooting at the students. That's all I'm going to say about the plotline. I found it difficult to put this book down because I empathised with Peter so much, having been a victim of some terrible school bullying in the past myself. Although there is no justifying what he did, I felt that I understood where he was coming from. It's definitely a book I would recommend to people, whether you have been bullied or not, as it gives a good perspective of things from both the sides of the bullies and the side of the victim.

I empathized with Peter because that WAS me in 2006. :( I understand how he felt. It's not justified but that doesn't mean just Peter should be blamed. Some judgement should be passed on the bullies that made his life a living hell burning him alive every day. :(
