Only to a point. I like the music, and sometimes I can get an idea about what the song it about, but often times I don't understand the words or understand the metaphorical meaning of the song. Same with poetry. And don't get me started with finding the underlying meaning of the way the director frames a shot. Film Lit sucked.

Back to song; when I hear a song, I don't really listen to the words, but to the melody of the singer and the music. I can't stand ballads or rap. The tempo must be a little faster than normal for me to like it, kinda like techno, synth, or the New Wave from back in the 80's. Now that was good music.

I kinda miss disco a little.

I agree. For me personally, anyway.

Earbuds and mp3 in the grocery store. That is the time that I am most grateful for music! They play the most unbelievably horrible music in our grocery store. I almost can't even remember what I came to buy if the song bothers me enough. It seems weird, thinking of it, but it's true. Once I notice the song, I can no longer tune it out and it's as though my brain is fighting the song too hard to do anything else. Like it's going to invade my head or something.

It is a hobby, a passion, a motivation, and a career... it's not a lifesaver for me, it's a life.

So much so that this thread is needless....unless we all list some reccommendations, huh? :D

Someone besides be should make some first though, I'm looking for more sounds myself. Plus if I Know what others listen to, I can then make a few myself.

Sure is, don't know how I could survive without it.

One of my biggest obsessions and it always keeps me sane.

Well, that is a huge topic all its own, if we all pipe up. Maybe a new thread for the purpose? Mind you, for all I know you've already made one. I'll look and see. But I don't really know what I'd recommend. It depends what someone likes already. Unless you just want something totally outside your current range, something completely new to you, then it doesn't matter what I recommend. It's all good... or I wouldn't recommend it.
