Would you also call him George?

No, because his name isn't George.

Boobs seem to help a lot. I guess boobs are a comfortable place to rest your head while you cry.

My boobs are like sadness absorbers!

Ironic, I am a boy who gets sad occasionally, personally, I would love (pun intended) to be shushed and petted until I fall asleep if or when I get a girlfriend.

Same here except I haven't cried much because I'm happier now that I have a girlfriend. I would like to be held when I'd be upset enough to cry & I get sensitive & affectionate when she cries

That was from the Bugs Bunny cartoon where the Abominable Snowman tells Bugs "My own bunny rabbit, I will hug him and love him and pet him and call him George".

Probably I, alone (other than you, Tim_Tex), knew the reference.

I would try to make him feel safe in my arms. :D
Awww that's so sweet I wish I had a gf that do that for me.

Mine has cried twice. The first time was when our first baby was born. The second time was at his dads funeral. Both times it lasted under two minutes and was just tears, not sobbing.

I can't imagine mine crying. He doesn't really show feelings.

I don't know what I'd do if he all out boo hoo'd. I'd probably be about as shocked and frozen as I would be if he were to spontaneously hug me and tell me how much he loves me and hold my hand.

Ask what was wrong, cuddle him and stuff. If it was anything I could help with I'd try, if not then I'd just comfort him. It's happened enough times for it not to be a shock. I don't like men that try to be too stoic, because when they do cry I imagine it would be kind of scary.

Does anyone here get freaked out when they see their dad cry? I've only seen it on very rare occasions (family deaths and the like).

Because men don't tend to cry as openly as what women do, if my other half was crying I would know that something was seriously wrong. I believe that a man is a real man if he cries anyway as he is accepting his emotions as normal, even if they are awful to go through. If he was crying, I would comfort him as much as possible and would encourage him to talk to me about what was causing him so much distress. If he wanted me to leave him alone until he was fit enough to talk, I would do that also (even though I find it so hard doing that to someone) as you can sometimes over-smother people.

Haha that's what it reminded me of, too!
I couldn't figure out whether it was an intentional reference or not.

I tend to be very even keeled no matter how bad things get, I only have emotional meltdowns when I'm giving a speech or something, its really embarrassing for me, but now I understand why its called a meltdown, I loose all control of my emotions once they go critical.
