If you are an introvert I would suggest finding someone who isn't one.

Very good, if not the best advice ever.

I think this is good advice for some but not for all. My experience with dating extroverts has not been positive. I think there are different types of introverted people: those who would benefit from an extroverted partner who would bring them out of their shell, and those who would benefit from an introverted partner who would allow them to come out of their shell. I'm the latter type, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I'd say experiment with both types and see which works best for you.

I'm about convinced that it is just hard for aspies... period. No matter what type we are or what type we date. Sure there are going to be exceptions, but as a general rule we aren't wired for it. I think it is just something we have to "endure" to get the end result we want (in my case... marriage and kids)

I never had luck with typical NT girls. My 1st girlfriend wasn't on the spectrum but she had sever ADHD, dyslexia & some OCD. My 2nd girlfriend was an Aspie who I met here on this forum but it didn't work out because of differences in our personalities; she was very independent & liked having her space & I'm kind of needy & clingy. My current girlfriend is a possible Aspie who I also met here & I moved across the country in October to move in with her. My answer to the topic question is that it depends on the two people as individuals; how AS affects them & their personalities.
