Actually, thinking back to where I was living at the time I last had an OKCupid profile, I would have been fairly close to you, geographically-speaking, so yeah it probably came up in a search or two. Oh, that is too funny.

Have you posted it on here before? If not, maybe that's the compromise you can live with? It's very difficult for us to know how we come across to people, I have this problem a lot, someone recently told me they see me as this glamorous person which frankly just made me question their mental faculties, so I guess it is useful to get other people's opinion on your appearance because you may be acting under assumption you look one way but people may see you differently.

Nope, haven't posted my photo here before. I tend to shy away from posting it online.

sigh...I guess I might as well get people's opinions or else i'll never know... get ready 2 R8 MY SELFIE LOL XD: http://i.imgur.com/4MQThLK.jpg

(Just FYI my hand is not gigantic, lol. It's just the way I was holding the phone.)
So am I generally attractive or not? Maybe it sounds stupid but I honestly have no idea. (don't be afraid to be brutally honest, either.)

Brutally honest? I am not sure I know any other way :/

Well, to be brutally honest you are a completely average geek looking in that photo. However, if you had a trendy haircut and a different shirt, you would look a lot hotter. However, that may not be 'you', so quite frankly there is nothing wrong with you at all. You just have to find a way to be as charming in real life as you are online and just grow a bit of a thick skin for those inevitable life moments when things don't go quite as one would hope.

Oh, and you have nice hands.

^^^ I think you look fine, and that you have nice hands, or at least the one we can see looks good. :)

I think you look fine, too, and am surprised you worry about your appearance. I really get the impression that if you just focus on building your confidence, things will start working out for you. Nothing to worry about in the looks department. :)

Well, geeky is kind of "me," so I'm fine with that look as long as I know there's nothing obviously wrong with me, lol. I'm also glad to hear that my hands are acceptable

Thanks. The tricky part is building that confidence, though. It also doesn't help that I don't have any real relationship experience, so I don't really have any idea what i'm doing, lol. I'm clueless on the language, like when it's appropriate to go in for a kiss, etc. How do people even decide that they mutually like each other romantically? I have no clue.

you can't win if you don't play the lottery.

If you never talk to girls or ask them out, then you will never get a gf. You don't necessarily have to hit on girls the first time to talk to them. Just talk to girls like you would to anyone else.

And I do suggest one thing. If you don't have your license, definitely get one. The reason i'm saying this is because theres a high percentage of Aspies who don't have their license and that's pretty sad. Unless you have a disability in which you can't drive, you should get your license if you don't have it.

I've had my license since I was 16, and i have a car, so no problem there.

That's pretty much what I do already, and while I'm perfectly capable of making female friends, I don't really know how that typically escalates into a relationship.
