A realization at work
Yesterday when I was working I came to a realization. There is a girl I kinda like, she's pretty and got the most amazing accent (I love talking to her, doesn't matter what's said it sounds awesome), and I think she may like me back. Also I right now have the power to text her and ask her to lunch sometime this week (fall break). My realization that's prevented me from doing it this far? I'm not scarred of her saying no, if she says no I know exactly what happens next, it's simple. What I'm scarred of is her saying yes, that's when the future becomes complicated, I can't predict what happens anymore and most important I don't know what to do.
So tell me WP, what do I do if she says yes, because that's what makes me really nervous.
You, sir, are a genius. Most people would be in flat denial of this. Sometimes for all of their lives.

Guess what? You're right. You won't be able to predict what happens anymore, and what to do? Well...
Trust that things will be the way they will be. Let it happen - don't heap more pressure on yourself. It's supposed to be fun - not some sort of torturous trial! You won't be able to control everything.
What to do will happen if you let it. Things will happen naturally, they will fall into place - now, that's romantic, and that's not wishful thinking. Deep down a part of you knows exactly what to do - it's hardwired into you. Trust in it. Be relaxed enough so that the part of you which really knows what to do will work, and be in the moment. Let go of having to control everything that's going on - that way is sheer folly.
Any fear you have might be because this is a newish situation and outside your comfort zone. That's a classic feeling when a new situation or possibility comes up - the 'fear' is this thing that supposedly warns us, and keeps us safe. Just don't let it stop you.
So ask her to lunch, and have a blast! She probably does like you a lot.
If it doesn't 'happen', you've got to be man enough to trust that this is for the best. So many people don't do this, then they end up carrying baggage around for the rest of their lives, sometimes.
Dont worry be happy

Cody, Bob Marley doesn't sing that song.

Don't think about it too much because you'll try to over correct everything that you do.

Wow...that video title. Unless it's a troll upload, there's actually a person on this planet who thinks "Don't Worry, Be Happy" is a Bob Marley song. Sorry to be off topic, but...wow. Bobby McFerrin doesn't even sound a little bit like Bob Marley.
