There are style similiarities, that is all.

Bipolar Van Gogh? That is also one of the theories. Actually there have been a huge number of retroactive diagnosies attempted. Wiki has over 150 psychiatrists trying and coming up with 30 different results. Increased awareness of Autism brings with it re-examination of unknown past conditions under a autistic light. Van Gogh had a very unusual and complicated life. Its hard to reconcile that with just autism.

I know what you mean about the similarity, ToySoldier. But I think Munch captured a sadness and alienation that is absent from Van Gogh.

I saw the painting (The Scream) at the Munch Museum in Oslo years ago right before it was stolen from the museum. So when I heard the news I was very curious. It was found a couple of years later. Did you guys know there are 4 versions of this painting?
