Opinion on "weird" dating scenario

What was she, your mother? She sounds extremely nit picky and judgemental.

I actually double-checked a couple sites on how to properly eat pho... yup, you're definitely supposed to eat the broth with the noodles. Guess what she meant was she doesn't eat the broth but maybe that's
the same thing in her eyes.
To her credit, she did offer some helpful advice along the way, especially about my messy apartment, and did drive me to the place and back so there's that... it was just buried under layers of snarkiness and hostility.

The whole broth thing is a skill, they have to get the whole dish perfectly right and everything exactly in proportion, including precise timings of the ingredient cooking times.
I think she sounds like a plonker.

Yup, she's guano crazy. I can only imagine that when she gets older and begins to feel less passionate about her job that she'll start acting this way to her clients. Obviously, don't sweat having a messy apartment. Most people have their homes messy until they know they're having company over. Just tidy up a bit before going out next time, even if you don't expect the date to end at your appointment.
Now, focus on your positives. You still managed to have her want to go back to your place. Think about what you did correctly on the date and hone those strengths for the next one. Although, because she's nuts, those strengths might not work on the next girl
P.S. I'm loving your idea of having your living room be you bedroom.

Thanks, I actually chose the living room because the previous tenant's mattress was already there and neither of the bedrooms appealed to me. I also like having as much as possible within one space. What can I say, I'm low maintenance.
As for how I convinced her to come back to my place, idk, I guess I was a bit more persistent than usual perhaps and didn't completely lose my confidence?
Though according to her, it was because I didn't make a very good impression on her during dinner and she wasn't feeling any attraction to me but wanted to give me a second chance to see if I'd "impress" her later. As she put it, if she had been really into me in the first place, she might've been able to look past the apartment. Whatever lol.

Ah, too bad about the egg allergy, that sucks
I've never had pho tbh but it looks really good (and sounds complex from what I've read). I have a rather strict diet that limits a lot of food I can have but I'm pretty sure if I could, I'd eat just about anything and everything lol.

So what? My date at the time drove me home as I left my car home that day and walked to the date: it was a nice gesture but that doesn't change the fact she used sarcasm as a cover for being a bee itch. Stop making excuses for her: she was wrong and it has nothing to do with you. Trust me if you had a spotless apartment and did everything right she would have eventually found something to ridicule you over, whether it be your kissing skills, the way you tie your shoelaces or your choice of TV programs. Just imagine how miserable you would be married to someone like that!

So sorry for what you experienced with this woman. Even I'm developing a nervous twitch at the thought of her behaviour...
! Run, just run and don't look back... You deserve so much better!
Thanks! I'm more or less over it at this point but the feedback is still appreciated.
Btw, I'm digging your profile pic... very serene
