And by that i mean completely single. Celibate, you can have friends, just no partners. Can you live like that?

I am not sure... I've handled it so far... I don't know how I'd feel in my old age.. I don't feel the need to have a partner a lot so I probably can... Also I'd rather be single than working hard on a not-so-compatible relationship.

Sounds tough. I prefer the opposite - partner, no friends.

Not really. I like having someone to share everything with on every level.

All my relationships were traumatic, except for one aspie girlfriend i had. i would only want a partner again if she is an aspie as well. An ex-girlfriend tried to fight me(physically assaulting) when we broke up, NT's are too emotional and unstable.

It's not about what you're dealt with, but what you would like.

Eww, no. I prefer to keep my feet planted firmly in reality. No white knight is going to show up at my door to whisk me away.

I doubt anyone is really interested in me, anyway. I'm too much of a mess.

It's not my first choice, but I'm reasonably happy without girlfriend - there are MUCH worse things in life - I'm really grateful for what I have...

+1

I don't know about wanting though, you might as well ask if I'd want to be a unicorn, it's that much of a fantasy.
