Sure! I am happy with most music, actually. "You've Got Soul" is on right now, but when it ends in a minute, play whatever you like! Would you like dinner?

There's a strong element of "good old rock and road" in "Heart of Rock and Roll."

Lends itself well to Lindy Hopping.

I was in a Syntho Rock sort of mood.....but I'll take Huey.

I like crawfish with rice or Jambayala.

I like the early videos where they combined the group playing the song with a little story.

Yes! "Doin' it all for my Baby" was my favorite, with the B monster movie/Frankenstein aesthetic. So funny! Remember how they always had a shark in the video somewhere? Let's play the syntho next, suits me.

How about "I Ran," by a group with Seagull in its name.

When MTV came out, only real TV techies could pick it up in UHF. But things progressed quickly. By 1983, a whole new industry sprung up based upon the rental of VHS tapes.

We can make up our own dance to it. It was primarily a "listening" song, rather than a "dancing" song.

The group is named "Flock of Seagulls."

Yes! They were called: Flock of Seagulls! That's a great song. I used to wait until my parents left the house to tune in to MTV...at the time it had a bad reputation...not totally sure why? The first video I ever saw was Dire Straits "Money For Nothing" sigh...still awesome.

That was a gigantic hit for Dire Straits. The video to this song was considered landmark for its time.

"I love my MTV.........." "Money is for nothing, chicks for free."

They were a 70s group, too.

MTV was controversial because they didn't censor their videos too much. Lots of sexuality and decadence in them.

Yes, I see your point there. I do not understand though why people get bent out of shape about sex, or suggestiveness, or nudity...but don't seem to mind ultra-violence at all! So strange. Sting sang on that track, too, and I thought The Police were a great band, also.

The Police were originally a Punk band.

Then they got into Reggae rhythms and started signing about complex relationships.

Then Sting "outgrew" The Police like Lionel Ritchie "outgrew" The Commodores.

Indeed, but you know, I didn't care for either of their solo works as much as the bands' songs...that make make me a Philistine! You seem to have a great musical knowledge!

Oh, you have great face-reading skills. I thought dinner was great. I hope you'll forgive me if my emotion-reading is not so good but, if you give me a clue, I will keep up! I did notice you seem rather dressed up this evening...any occasion?

I must take my son to get a bite to eat now, which will take about an hour. I may be able to return to the bar then, but in case I do not make it back tonight, I hope you have a good evening. I should be able to make it most of this coming week, it is just a matter of figuring out how to adjust my routines to the start of school. See you in a bit, I hope!

Enjoy your time with your son. I'm glad you're attentive with your son. It's a wonderful qualify for a little person to feed off of.

Hope to see you back here soon!
