That's true. But from what I heard on the news, Australia currently has a very strict "stay home" order with no end date. You're not even allowed to go to a grocery store; you must order everything online, unless you're over 65. All you're allowed is walking on the streets within 500 meters of your home, and you must be alone. Everything else leads to a fine or an arrest.

So legal prostitution is a moot point, if you can't even leave your home to see another person, let alone meet a woman for sex.

Unfortunately, if you're located in the US, the only place to visit a (legal) brothel is in Nevada. And depending on where you live in the US, that could be a 10+, 20+, or 30+ hour drive. And there are no plans to legalize brothels in other states any time soon. So if you're American wishing to see a prostitute, your only options are to travel to Nevada, go out of the country, or see a prostitute illegally and run the risk of getting in trouble with the law.

We should be virtually out of lockdown on the 11th of this month if you have a vaccination certificate.
I got mine on Friday. :mrgreen:

Even in the lockdowns, we were always able to go to the grocers/supermarkets or pick up a takeaway.

Well, that's not being incel (lowercase), that's being lonely. They overlap, and may produce similar bitter feelings, but they're not one and the same.

You'll be surprised to find out how robust and secretive the escorting network is in the US. It uses offshore websites and email servers, communicates in discreet wording cops can't use as evidence, and has ways to verify people I can't share here. So unless you're being stupid or careless, use untrustworthy websites, and don't practice discretion, your risk of getting arrested is low. Not zero---but low.

Don't get me wrong, seeing a sex worker might be beneficial for some guys. If you're a virgin, it gives you practice with someone who's not going to judge you (at least not openly) for being inexperienced, so when you finally have sex with a real woman, you'll at least have a better idea of what the heck to do. But it won't solve all your problems hence the reason why incels still consider themselves incels.


Being celibate means you aren't having sex with another person, so they can't really be called incels in this situation.
They may have to go across the street to the Lonelyhearts club. :mrgreen:

Well, that's true. American founders were rebels and mutineers looking to get away from the British. But they were also deeply religious (Protestants/Calvinists). Which precluded any sexual enjoyment. Sex was seen a necessary procedure for bringing kids into the world, rather than something pleasurable, and was limited to spouses only.

Very much so. He was a Deist who questioned the church's interference into everyday life. Deism means god created the world, then stepped aside to let it act on its own. Deists don't even worship Jesus, although they probably still worship Yahweh (God the Father/creator). But I was referring more to the Puritans of New England, whose anti-pleasure culture, laser-focused on work and church, still persists to a modified degree in modern America.

I know what a Deist is thanks. That wasn't what I meant. Franklin was a very horny guy who while ambassador to France was doing every whore in Paris.

Would it be better if the law made special exceptions for socially challenged people that were incel, and legalized it for them or gave them a pass, kind of like how you can legally take certain drugs if they are perscribed? Or would this just make problems worse?

The US is extremely hypocritical on this issue. Getting arrested for soliciting a whore can cause average Joe no end of problems but senators and wealthy businessmen do it all the time and it's laughed off.

I say legalize it period. The laws against it do far more harm than good.

That's because senators and businessmen use the secretive websites I use, while average Joes answer banal internet ads. I remember attending an escort convention a few years ago, where I taught three men in dark business suits how to use proxy servers. They were actually writing down what I was telling them, using fancy pens and leather binders, listening to me like I was a sage. With me being a low-level IT guy at the time, that felt HIGHLY vindicating. (Today, I have a higher-level, better-paying job, but still in the IT field.)

The Eighteenth Century wasn't a very churchy time. It was a time of secret societies that held orgies and Satanic rites. The origins of modern Atheistic Satanism go back to that era.
