How about: "Dance to the Music" by Sly and the Family Stone?

One thing that's interesting: with the British Invasion, there was much more separate dancing between men and women. This lasted until the early-mid 70's, when couples dancing came back in vogue.

LOL...it's on....Shall we dance?

Woo Hoo! As David Bowie once sang: "Let's Dance." (I actually own a pair of shoes that could be interpreted as being red, too.)

I have been looking forward to this all night.

On that note, I shall take down my hair, figuratively and literally, and we may spin around the dance floor!

That is the Ultimate Boogie...and it looks good to all observers!

"Shout," by the Isley Brothers, lends itself to this State of Being.....

I am glad you have such musical familiarity! I f I had to pick the songs each time, I would be wasting a lot of it trying to think of what to play. I like my dance partner to also be my DJ. Soon, though, it may be time to slow things down a bit. Do you need a drink refill?

Thanks so much, Ms. Chic....that would be swell!

In truth, my musical knowledge isn't all that extensive. I was absolutely steeped in pop music growing up. Top 40 music especially. I think of myself as having a "soundtrack to my life."

I would bet that you were raised steeped in Culture, and had lots of Classical music in your home.

Classical music tends to augment my creativity, giving rise to poems and prose poems.

You are really a nice and elegant lady....especially when you're Boogie-ing!

I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know the extent of your elegance, which is natural and considerable.

Elegance is not all superficial appearance, not all Emily Post postures. Not all "The Rain In Spain Falls Mainly on the Plain."

Just like Eloquence, Elegance can be silent, seemingly intangible, yet evident to People of Discernment.

Why thank you, kind sir, you have quite a way with compliments. You are most graceful yourself. I love your gentle, but firm hand as we dance. Your confidence in your movements enhances my own.

In reality, I did not grow up steeped in the arts or culture, my family was working class, my father a utilitarian, depression era man. I have always been different, in every way. No one else went to college, and certainly not to art school, or to the theater. I am the oddball, but I like it that way.

Soon, let us walk the beach, for my morning is early, and I wish to enjoy your company while I am awake enough to properly appreciate it!

I'm ready for our walk now :D

I really like the outdoors, actually. It's a beautiful night....with the Moon shining a path for us to tread.

A watchful Moon...a protective Moon....yet respectful of our space.

I have met many people who don't exude "elegance" outwardly---but who are steeped in it internally. And I've known outwardly "elegant" people who have nothing internally.

Poetry was my salvation in high school. When people found out that I wrote poetry, the bullying eased quite a bit. I hate to say it, but a couple of people still remember me as a poet in high school.

We are so fortunate that we have the Ocean as our companion. Doing its own thing. Yet allowing us to watch it.

Care for an Italian ice?

Oh, yes, thank you , I will have one for the walk. Do they have blackberry? Poetry! That explains a lot. You will forgive me I hope if I have never met another Apsie, or NT for that matter, who could be so smooth. Perhaps one day soon we can trade interests. If you share some poetry with me, I will share some art work with you. It is such a beautiful night. I wish I could just stay out here and stare up at the stars in the warm evening instead of sleeping, hoping to beat the alarm in the morning. At least this moment is divine.

It is quite evident that a painting is coming soon; you are soaking up the scenery nonverbally--and you need his contemplation in order for that Genius to come to full fruition.

We arrive at your abode, where there's Beacon Lights awaiting you. Your outdoor bed is prepared for your weary yet contented body. You shall dream tonight...and the dream shall be incorporated into tomorrow's rough sketch. Your creative juices are blazing; I can see it in your eyes.

I kiss the Dainty Hand proffered to me. It is a craftperson's hand--but still of a feminine disposition.

I leave you with a certain ruefulness. But it's alleviated somewhat by the fact that I shall see you tomorrow.

My writing's been in a dormant state for a long time. But you are inspiring me.

I tend to write in free verse. There are times, though, when I have a "meter" which emanates from a certain part of the Subconscious.

I wish I had the consistent Efflorescence of Walt Whitman. I used to like the Beats--but I feel ambivalent about them now.

The first person who inspired me to do well in English was the teacher I had a crush on in 8th grade. Indirectly, this lead me to start writing at about age 15.

(creeps cautiously into the bar on Aspie overload) (speaks softly) Bartender? I would like some green tea please, and a single shot of Captain Morgan, also, an M&M cookie. Sits down, with cookie, looking out at waves....deep breathing, calming down. Thank heavens for moving water!

Moving water is a tonic for me as well. Calm water is okay--if there's a reflection from a source such as the Moon.

I like watching cars on the highway, and trains. I'm not a real train buff--but I wish lived near where a railroad-type train runs.

How about some Stevie Wonder tonight? We can start, if you so desire, with "Fingertips Part 2."

People tend to forget how much of a musical genius this guy is.
