I don't get what you mean

What's a registration captcha?

They're used to detect bots when signing up for accounts on websites. I'll let you figure out the rest of the joke.

But I can't work it out

I have real Aspergers hence I can't work out jokes like this where there's an implication I'm meant to work out

My brain's not up to it

Software that gives you a picture and expects you to write whatever characters are on a picture to determine you are human or in this case aspie.

Fun thing is when you write the same thing for a while and software still says you are wrong for not using their expected format

He's saying you're so good at pointing out we're fakes you should become the website's captcha. And please try to keep to the topic and stop undermining people with Asperger's syndrome. Some of us make great efforts to learn and develop and have come a long way. There's nothing fake about that. If you can't or are not able to do the same I won't judge you for it but please don't assume all Aspies are limited to a mentally and socially crippled state of mind.

I'd have no problem doing that - when do I start? :D

What if two sites were set up, seemingly identical and people were sent to the NT version or the Aspie version according to my say-so but never knew it, they just found the site they were on very welcoming, full of people just like them!

Captchas are expected to determine you are a human based on your eyesight/ typing abilities.
You would be determining someones diagnosis with a picture and some sample texts

Wow that's a bit judgmental!

Mentally and socially crippled?!

You've got a lot further to go in your self-development I can tell you!

What I actually said there was to me it seems like you think all us Aspies have to be limited to certain thought patterns and social capabilities else we're fakes. While you are honest about it it doesn't make it any less insulting. You didn't want the "nice guy" stuff so I just made an equally crude and ignorant statement to demonstrate in it's simplest form what I think about your assumptions of Aspergers in general.

Don't try and flip this on me all of a sudden. I'm only working with the material you gave me. I really don't know how on Earth you would assume I perceive the entirety of people with Aspergers to be cripples let alone agree with using the term cripple.

Part of being an adult (which I'm sure you can respect) is when you say things you have to take responsibility for them no matter what your disposition is. You said some in my mind really sweeping, illogical and undermining things about the Autism spectrum and so when people (like me) get offended by that and try and put across why you have to bear the brunt of it. And if my actions go too far? Then that is up to the moderators to decide and I must accept responsibility for that (which I do). TLDR version; don't go round saying things before you think and expect everyone to have to sit there and take it else they're just "big old meanies".

For the sake of Bill's thread - let us agree to disagree. You're right about whatever it is you're right about and my statements apply to some things but not all.

Bill, so you've come to the conclusion that she's moved on and you have to respect it. So what are you gonna do now?

Don't accuse me of the negative stereotype of sexism. Its an insult.

Since your statement was benevolent sexism as opposed to a negative form of it, i figured this is a perfect opportunity to put this method to the test. apparently when you are faced with the charge of having to back up your claims, it will force you to be less sexist in your posts.
we'll see if it works. i highly doubt it, but i couldn't dismiss their idea without trying it first.

There you go, insulting my other posts as well.

How about facing reality and refraining from insulting those that contradict your view?
Or is denigrating others part of your feminist agenda?

So nobodies allowed to point out sexist and insulting logic as doing so is in and of itself an insult? Interesting.......

this is what you said^^^

when you make positive blanket statements about a gender, it is still sexist, but it is referred to as "benevolent sexism" because it isn't negative generalisations. it is usually used towards men or women in a certain stereotypical way (i.e. saying women are kinder than men), but not always. technically, it is also sexist against men.

it isn't actually true that one gender is more endowed with this positive characteristic as compared to the other gender, which is why you were at a loss to provide any evidence of your assertions. may as well leave it at that.

and i'd say that the experiment of calling out a member on their sexist post and asking for evidence was less than a smashing success. i think it just led to a derailment, really.

The allegation of sexism is a derogatory and denigrating accusation to make and I recommend that you withdraw it.

your post that i quoted was a sexist generalisation towards women - albeit a benevolent one (the flip side is that it is negative towards men). at least 2 other members noted it as well, so i am not sure why it is a surprise to you.
