Not getting it. How am I supposed to see women as superior while simultaneously treating them like dogs? I think you're getting your sexist generalizations mixed up. It's almost like you don't know sh** about what you're talking about..........odd..........

This is exactly why after reading so much about dating, I still have no clue how it works. Instead of trying to sound "poetic" and "clever" through overuse of subjective descriptive language and paradoxes, can't anybody just speak English anymore?

That's because it doesn't work based on any one formula. Dating is a process that happens between two people with feelings. Feelings are chaotic, unpredictable, random and ungovernable. Most of the time the dating happens due to sheer dumb luck. Or kismet, if you believe in such things.

Tbh, Lost's preferences aren't uncommon among men - and a lot of women I know want the typical masculine man, not only in looks, but also typically culturally "masculine", in other term dominant, strong, leader, confident, fearless, brave, adventurous .... you know, the "knight in armor" is the girls' most common description of a dream, and of course wanting him having the car/good job/place.

So in defense of lostie, he's not the only traditional-minded person in this world - there are a lot who are like him (men and women) in this world.

For example, this survey shows that half of working moms wish to be stay-at-home moms: http://www.forbes.com/sites/meghancasse ... y-results/

Quote:
Approximately half of working moms agree their overall happiness would increase if they didn’t work

So I say...let's stop stoning lostie as if he's the only culprit for the existence of the gender roles, live and let live.

We never stoned him for those things. We stoned him for saying the types of women he was describing were 'normal' and for implying behaviour and preferences of women in hypothetical scenarios without acknowledging that they are hypothetical scenarios.

Also, if someone wants to stay at home and look after their kids, by lost's reasoning, they would want to dress in clothes from the 50s, wear make up and have a certain type of personality that's susceptible to compliments and whose sole purpose in life is make her man happy.

I'm pretty sure that hardly any stay at home mum's in this are fit that description and they would certain be a niche group, not a norm.

You have, perhaps lazily/unwittingly taken a survey of 1.000 US women and generalised it to 'this survey shows that half of working moms wish to be stay-at-home moms' - applying to the whole world, in essence. I wonder what social groups were asked, where it was conducted, who declined to answer, the publiation's agenda...and so on.

So, basically, 'lostie' definitely isn't the only culprit.

This happens all the time. The media will take so-called 'facts', and then they will be swallowed whole by a public punch-drunk with stats, and too tired to question them.

The point about 'stoning lostie' is ridiculous, too. When he comes out with 'good' points (ie measured - of course not necessarily what people want to hear), they are discussed accordingly. When he comes out with sexist filth, and is rude, the tone understandably changes. I would expect this would be the case for any poster, regardless of gender or belief.

Shut up leaf plant. Most women are more feminine and your just more on the spectrum geeky nerdy lesbian radical feminist type of woman so you resent that more men find the more feminine women attractive.

Octobertiger, you are a fool. Most women are more feminine than what the typical wrongplanet women lesbians are. I can think of a few women on here like Yuzu but most of the women here are different from the norm. Don't call me a sexist because I speak the truth & am not attracted to a certain type of woman.

I didn't call you a sexist. I said that you sometimes come out with sexist filth - and, it appears that you're going there again.

Most of the men here are different from the norm, too - you included. Should you be judged in the way that you judge others? I don't think you'd like that.

I couldn't care less if you think I'm a fool or not :D
