I found it very entertaining.
I picked up a lot of jokes from that show.

Also, it tended to be quite informative.
They put a lot of research into it.

I always thought it was a show about nerds aimed at people who think they know what a nerd is based on a stereotype about nerds using a couple of people known to the writers of TBBT who are perceived to be nerds by the aforementioned writers.

It is a bloody good series,
End of story.

Well, that's a more precise way of putting it.

Oh, and really overrated.

As example: In the show, the nerdy characters make references to Star Wars / Star Trek / DC all the time in their daily life. I know no nerd/geek who does that nor I do so, unless if I am sitting only with geek close friends, in a specific setting, who are also happen to be fans of SW/ST/DC. But most geeks/nerds have enough social intelligence to know that it's stupid to throw science fiction jokes/references around normies in daily life.

And I find desexualising Raj in that fashion as a typical subtle racist trope (Asian men less masculine than Whites).

I don't really get what makes a hot man or a hot woman? Good central heating? Haha. But actually, to me, the ones who spend ages tarting themselves up tend to over do it and look strange. Actually, I don't look so much at looks, but I look at their conduct and if they like the things that I do. I think (Speaking as a man) that the men that go after looks are after false hopes and expectations because as lovely as ladies are, like us men, we don't look so young as we grow up.
I never forget (And I am not saying this to criticize. Just saying how I did not expect it) that when I was in school one of the most beautiful looking girls... Well. I met her and another girl I was in school with when I was working the trains some 25 years later when we were in our late 30's and I did not recognize them until they told me their names. I was shocked because they both looked much older and I would not have thought that they were my age. No doubt they still have lovely hearts, but they did say they had spent their lives drinking and partying so maybe that ages people? I don't know. It was really nice to see them though, but I realize that my concept of what I expected them to look at was very different to how they now are. It could just be me because I tend to isolate myself from people due to prosopragnosia and shyness, so maybe because I have lost trace of nearly all people I was in school with except for just one or two, my concept of what I expect people to look like has changed? Who knows!

My women friends all had the hots for Raj actually he is too sexy to desexualize. He is actually the most appealing TBBT character to NT women I know (and one female aspie ) His character was dating two women at a time.

It turned out to be wrong.
