Sexist generalisation is sexist.

That's as bad as saying "boys will be boys".

To be honest I don't want to say "most wives will do this" if it's used as an excuse.

She said this was supported by genetic research. I asked to see this research but she didn't have it. I said basing a claim on "evidence exists but it can't be found" is not a very scientific argument.

Certainly with this kind of person arguments can't be won..
They don't care about science neither logic
Because
'. I asked her what's wrong with black people and she said they're closer to apes. '
'people evolved from pigs'

So, Karen, which one is it?

In some ways she's not completely full of crap on this. I've heard before that the reason some medical studies are done on pigs is because their internal organs most closely mimic those of humans. It's enough of a topic in biology for there to be a LOT of google results for "pig anatomy close to human" - I clicked and skimmed a couple answers and links on the first page:

https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1CAEV ... nt=gws-wiz

Pig and human embryos are similar. Tissues are similar and medical students practice on them. We do share some genes - but more with mice than pigs, apparently. She's not completely out to lunch on this one.

BUT, I don't think we evolved from pigs. We do share genetics with many animals, though, including pigs, as when you keep going back up the line we do have common ancestors:

Quote:
How close are pigs to humans genetically?
Comparison of the full DNA sequences of different mammals shows that we are more closely related to mice than we are to pigs. We last shared a common ancestor with pigs about 80 million years ago, compared to about 70 million years ago when we diverged from rodents.

..but we also, apparently, share some genes with fungi - which is why some people are allergic to mushrooms.. I've heard that some people's bodies react to mushrooms as if there's some sort of mutated foreign human cell in them and it can cause strong adverse allergic reactions.

Quote:
As it turns out, animals and fungi share a common ancestor and branched away from plants at some point about 1.1 billion years ago. It was only later that animals and fungi separated on the genealogical tree of life, making mushrooms more closely related to humans than plants.Jan. 18, 2021

So, just because she can't fully explain to you what she means, doesn't mean she's necessarily wrong.. maybe not completely correct, but not totally out to lunch crazy town wrong on this pig-human connection stuff. (Other things, yes.)

More importantly:

Have you had any discussions with her about what she truly wants/needs out of your relationship? (ie you guys all stay together because that's what she wants And what her family expects.) And then further discussion about how that may be achievable in a win-win-win scenario by working on your relationship and agreeing to Both follow through on couples/marriage counselling? Any forward progress on the big picture stuff that matters?

People share common ancestors with a tree too, forgot which species.

For a slut, you are an exceptional relationship advisor.

To OP: Im going through PMS time, I can be your Jane, I promise to abuse you much better. Dump that Jane wife. You can do better than that. I can brainstorm better ideas for your [cringe and gag reflex] child's crib. That [disgusting] creature deserves life & care, at least.

What kind of biology/evolution curriculums they teach at schools in China?

Actually, black African people are the "purest" Homo Sapiens (have the least genes of other homo species), White Europeans and Asians have slightly more Neanderthal genes in their genome.

And Tibetans, Aboriginal Australians and some Pacific Islanders have some Denisovan DNA. Are we trying to build some new form of racism on it?

So yeah the human ancestor evolved us after splitting with an Ancestor of pigs. But she incidentally also said it's 'not from apes'. Questionable theory.

A racist would try to find reasons for racism in anything.

Believe it or not I've been a relationship advisor to friends over the years & helped keep some meant-to-be couples together. 8)

I guess I chalk it up to the good ol' "Those that can, do, those that can't.. teach." Not that hard to solve other peoples' problems & teach them things.

Cool but I personally would be at war with you if you tried to keep me into a relationship. I'd rather you split me up with the person. Have you ever done that?
