Well, he is an Aspie Male, and the two seem synonymous: being an Aspie Male and dating/women being important to them.

I would, but that's because I am desperate. I would much prefer a nice aspie girl. I just think an aspie-aspie relationship is more likely to succeed than an aspie-NT relationship. Am I right? 8O

I would disagree. If an NT understands, nothing else should matter.

Hurrah for the 50% of males who have voted yes. It doesn't matter if someone is Aspie or NT as long as it 'feels right' to be together and you both make an effort to understand and support each other.

Lots of NT/NT relationships are complete disasters - and they're supposed to be fully equipped to communicate, read expressions etc...

Yes, I would date an NT. Maybe a relationship with an Aspie would succeed better, but of course there are disproportionately more male Aspies, than there are female. Our pool of female Aspies is drastically limited.

Maybe would be as good for us male Aspies to find female partners who, while NT, have an understanding of AS?

I think you are right. My husband is NT and we are very much opposites. I think that was part of the attraction - that he is so different than I am. He is very extroverted and impulsive. It is a good balance sometimes, but other times you don't get alot of understanding. But, I think if you respect each others boundaries that helps.

i'm aspie and voted that i would date an NT... but what kind of "choice" is this..? if i don't consider NTs as dateable people, then i'll be single until i die of old age! it's almost enough to make one convert to islam... atleast muslism get 72 virgins after they die...

My ex-gf is an NT, and I don't know about the one before her; That was before I was familiar with Asperger's or knew I had it. I'm currently in a relationship with a boy who isn't on the autism spectrum by any stretch of imagination, but he was recently diagnosed with OCD.
