Here are some stats from my post, sweetheart, since you were evidently too damned lazy to read it:

It contained:

4 "if's" (two bolded)
1 "as I perceive it"
1 "maybe"
1 "that's my working hypothesis"
1 "I'm thinking"
1 "in my opinion"

If you can find qualifiers such as those in the posts of anyone whom I've criticized for stereotyping men & women/Aspies & NT's, I'll eat my hat.

its a nice idea but then again its just that: idealism. but anyway, men and women won't ever be the same because the hormonal functions simply aren't the same.

isn't it more important that both sexes accept their differences??

With equal here I don't mean thesame, but worth thesame. No one is better or worse, no one has a better or worse life just because of their sexe. They are 'equal' in that sense.

OK, I am struggling with at least as much of the same problems as most of the guys here, and I'm not about to make any claims about being smarter or wiser. However, there is a piece of wisdom that life has taught me the hard way, and I will share it:

Fact: In the end, neither sex has it "better". They just have it "different". PERIOD.

Good point. I'm glad someone finally brought that up.

But your "working hypothesis" generalizes men and women.

it's because women

whereas men

You could instead say some men, some women... you can get away with murder then. :)

/captain pedantic. *edit: I don't post in L&D very often, I'm not looking for an argument.

These threads alllways get the most attention. This is also the reason that democracy is a crazy idea.

Isn't that kind of the point? The guys would just like to make use of our differences more often...

You make it sound so romantic

Just a realist... it is what it is.

Intersexual selection is a b***h. No denying that. In the purely physical sense of the word I do think guys have it harder in finding a mate. Women are picky. Guys, not nearly to the same degree. In the US the genders are nearly evenly distributed with a slightly higher female population. But, as we know, statisics alone do not magic make. girls do what the 'right' one. Men just want ONE. Anyone. It's really not fair but this is the way our species evolved.

Not a popular opinion but there you have it. From a girl, no less.

Trust me... the penis is not going out of style! And despite what you may think, women are not satisfied with plastic substitues alone.

And, while I may have a husband that is not the idyllic, dream of perfection either. Far FAR from it actually. People always want what they don't have.

I dont agree with this. Guys can be just as picky with women, and may at times leave their present partner for a woman they perceive to be more attractive. Guys can be very picky about a woman's weight, what she wears, her personality, many things.
