This thread is actually sad enough to get the honors of my first post. );
Females with Aspergers' are here. I'm 17, female and just found out I'm an 'Aspie'.

Still trying to deal, and figure everything out in my head.
Your reason... is just 'because you don't see us'?

It's a fact girls are better at being left undetected...

Well, I've pretended my whole life that there was nothing wrong. My school life is in pieces right now, and even managed to fool everyone into thinking I was antisocial, and that's it. Chances are, others girls are too. Reading the original post only sounds to me like you're refusing to accept we exist...

Me? Diagnosed when I was 9, same time my brother was diagnosed autistic.
Had extensive counselling to learn social skills and social norms (NHS in the UK is brilliant for that).
Still socially withdrawn, but can hold and maintain relationships. My extreme obsession stages died down at the age of 15. Still sometimes worry it interferes in love, but since I'm aware of that I try and control it.
Dislike certain fabrics, but not much issues with human touch.
At the moment studying to eventually achieve a PHD in the subject of choice. Very hard to deal with NT males who assume that a cheesy chat up line will make me sway into their arms.
I am attracted almost exclusively to men with autistic traits. Sadly, most of them hate women as they have only tried with NT. It's a depressing world. Make the most of it.
I am an aspie female. If you still continue to make arguments that I am not, you are taking away the identity I have lived my life by and embrace. I know I am. You don't know me.

I don't think they hate women in general, they just hate the way the system works for them. The consensus of agreement I've gotten from interviewing various asperger mens stories was that they resented the standards women have (the universal ones anyway). Like financial security, certain social personalities, and certain types of looks. Many of them opposed feminism, and boycotted things like gender roles and the bad boy/nice guy paradox, and showed me huge lists of double standards and stereotypes in our society. It's not about NT or AS. It's all women.

It's always -you heterosexual men need to change your ways to be desireable to females- well how about society change and call women out on all the BS?

I don't get it makes as much sense to me as a ranting and raving tea partier on tax freedom day :shrug:

i've met plenty of aspie women. most of which great people that i really like, which is why i do not agree with your assumptions about women.

Ways to meet aspie girls
If you cannot recognize them you can search for them in youtube
Type "aspie girl"
Listen to the rhythm of their speech. Notice the way they pause.
Notice their eyes and there general look.
They are fairly easy to spot once you have some real experience.

Odds of meeting probably are more or less between one and two hundred to one if you just grabbed someone on the street.
If you are in a small town with a low population you may not be able to find one simply because there is not one there.
If you go to a place like Silicon Valley in California the odds will be much higher.
Where you are can affect your odds.

Not really I need to find that Graham Richardson cat , not liked or lovable to anyone and doesn't care

, blunt,rude, grumpy to the point and far right ** I I think I may be even right of the HR Nicholas society. But don't worry under the government I lead their will always be a strong safety net (sorry to here your on disability) been their done that and a living wage, hell I may even look to free higher education or at a min affordable education. :wink:

*On economic matters that is I don't know how the banana benders of this world can argue that it will contain a fleck of dirt and if anyone where to look at it from 20 feet their face would melt and they would die a slow and agonising death, really protectionist/industry welfare makes me sick being Swiss I'm dumbfounded how they can subsidise hobby farms create a glut and than dump the milk powder on to African markets pricing out local farmers. Those (subsidy) farmers get in that country would make a French farmer :oops:

Welfare should go to people not hobby farms and rusty industry.

What is the actual male-female aspie ratio? I've been told female aspies were quite rare, but this site seems to suggest otherwise.

Conservative estimate (male:female) 10:1. Attwood estimate: 4:1.

As has been discussed on other threads, there are many reasons why they ratio could be skewed on this site. I think it's far too unreliable a measure to deduce anything from due to the sheer number of uncontrolled factors.
