I don't find myself attractive at all. I'd say that I do have an "aspie look" to me as well. My eyes kind of look glazed and lost and my neutral expression just looks very cold or angry almost.

on a related note, i am going to move all these posts to the split thread where the other criticisms of women's bodies ended up. it doesn't relate to this topic at all. just a heads up so that nobody freaks out when their posts appear to disappear.

EDIT: the off-topic discussion was moved to this thread:

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt204609.html

REMINDER: this is the topic here:

Quote:

please stop mistaking this topic for an excuse to be critical of women.

Getting in late on this. I would say I'm reasonably attractive, but I've noticed that reception to my physicality is influenced by location. In California, people generally took better care of themselves than they do where I grew up, and since I once more live in the place where I grew up, I've been "received" here better. The retro look is also unusual here, so I stick out more. Unfortunately, it's also resulted in more than one person saying I look "unapproachable" and being surprised that I'm "nice". It doesn't seem to be influenced by make-up use though, and my daily routine for that has been the same since I was about thirteen--foundation, mascara, and very red lipstick. If I go out somewhere special, I might add eye liner and/or gray or black shadow. Almost every clothing item I own is black, low-key, and I seldom wear jewelry.

I wear no makeup whatsoever. I haven't for a long time. I find it uncomfortable and takes a lot of pointless effort to put on and keep on. The only thing I have changed, however, is my wardrobe. I am treated better when I wear better looking clothing and have my hair down. I'm treated more like a child when I am not dressed up. There is no difference between when I wear makeup and when I don't; the only difference is when I'm dressed up and when I'm not. Makeup makes me look like I'm actually in my twenties rather than 15 like I normally do, so I probably receive more attention from males because of that reason when I used to wear it. Just adding my input. Based on my experience, makeup does not benefit me; it irritates my skin and puts me in a bad mood.

I do! I dress in all women's clothing. What I wear depends on how I feel. Like today, I just wore a polo, Converse, some jewelery, jeans, and light makeup. Who knows what I'll wear the next day?

I am to those that are attracted to me.
Though if I objectively compare myself to the "formula" of classic good looks or whatever, I'd say I'm just an average female. Not hideous, not fantastic. I'm just OK and can force myself up the scale if I tart myself up a bit.

According to current Western standards of physical female attractiveness, I believe I could be classified so, being 6' and 120lbs, through no doing of my own, I assure you, and having reasonably symmetrical facial proportions.
However, the fact that my wardrobe consists mainly of tutus, and that all my pants fall considerably above the line generally considered to be the standard of adequate length, perhaps not.

I suppose I'm reasonably attractive, though I've been called both beautiful and ugly. I got an 8 on hotornot.com, and that can't be an easy audience, and I do get hit on quite a bit when I'm in my thinner phases, and I've never had difficulty "getting" someone I was attracted to, with the exception of gay men and straight women. It's a damn good thing I have this going for me, since my social skills are about at fourth grade level. At least I can "hack" social interactions by flirting. :/

I'm not technically female so not sure if my opinion is valid..

Some days I feel gorgeous and other days I feel extremely ugly. I get a lot of nice comments, but that doesn't help if I already feel bad about myself.

No, most can't, except maybe for a moment around fifteen or sixteen.

if you feel as though you are female, i think your opinion is valid. by the way, some people who feel more like the opposite gender will sometimes change it on their profile. just so you know.

I am third gender, so never sure if I can have my say in these kinds of conversations. I dress feminine a lot so that's why I posted. If we had another gender option, I would choose it, even if it were just "other". But I am not female.
