Because they don't have to. Your average hot girl gets more attention than a year than you ever will in your lifetime, when 95% of the male population wants to f*k you (and the only 4% are gay or asexual) you won't get any shortage of male attention. Plus why overcome approach anxiety and work up the nerve to go talk to the guy you like and risk getting rejected when it's a lot easier to let the guy do it for you?

Men are looking for short-term "hook-ups", while women seem to take a longer view.

It's the difference between hiring a day laborer and hiring a career professional.

If the job will only take an hour or two, then any ordinary laborer will be sufficient; but if you're looking for someone more interested in a long-term commitment, then someone who looks and acts the part is what you're after.

If you want to hire a career professional, then your company needs to be attractive to the kind of career professional it needs. You can't expect to hire a civil engineer if your company looks like a tarpaper shack in an abandoned lot.

If you want to attract a girlfriend, then be attractive to the kind of girlfriend you want. You can't expect to attract a girlfriend if you look and act like a loser.

Lots of women are looking to hookup as well. The reason they don't advertise it though is because of social conditioning.

Also not all guys simply want to hookup, that's also a generalization.

No, that's based on personal observation and actual conversations with real women.While that may be a factor, remember too that "lots of women" are also looking for a kind man who is both willing to commit and be a good provider.Your sexist slur has been noted and reported.
