It is but you didn't. "Guys simply wanna f**k. Girls wanna feel things and have relationships and emotions" comes accross as you saying all men and women are like this. If that's not how you meant it then no harm done.
Edit to add a smile :D

I even elaborated to say that it's a Generalization and Generally true. None of those states say ALL or absolute truth and there is no deviation from it.

Generally, It seems people on WP don’t get the concept of Generalization; as if they’re blind to this word and its derivatives, hence taking the statement personally and getting needlessly offended. lol

I've been living in the grey area of near NT-ish life for the last ~8 years so sometimes forget about the black & white 0 1 binary all or nothing world so many people on the spectrum are stuck in.

Well, it so weird to be stuck in this even after being way grown up, any minimal interaction with the world should make one realize this.

I would generally have to agree with you.. However, I can recall some times when my symptoms were at their worst when I was like a binary robot. So.. I can kinda comprehend it.. although, what I wrote shouldn't be confused for on/off all/nothing when I didn't use language like that. People would have to not actually read what I wrote and instead jump to all/nothing conclusions when reading my post, filling in the blanks with what they assume I meant vs. what I actually wrote in order to misinterpret it - which is Also possible I suppose.

It continues to work just fine, thank you very much for asking. :) I have tons of friends, a stable career & rising income along with other opportunities, paid off a brand new car and classic motorcycle, money in the bank and saving towards goals, spent a few Summers getting back out kiteboarding on the ocean and plan to get out again this year, attended and worked at many amazing parties, my sex life has been fantastic etc etc.

Nothing bogus, ever. Simply shared my truth, what I learned and did, and what the results have been for me. 8)

I am just going to leave it here that while looks do have some importance it is not the 'only' thing that attracts people to each other.

Of course, of course. Even for us gay guys hooking up. Someone's photos could make them an 8 or higher, but then you start chatting and their attitude reveals things about them that instantly tank their attractiveness. Especially if they support a certain orange guy's politics. Ew, gross.

You elaborated after I pointed it out, unless I'm remembering incorrectly. Sorry for being too autistic for you on this autism forum

It seems you're including me in this post. Not sure how you think I could take a generalisation about men personally. Didn't the mods warn people about using statements like "Men do..." or "Women want..." because they are usually taken to mean "All men/women..." on this forum?

No, I said past tense that I had elaborated and said it was a generalization. This is my post from about 60% of the way down page 5:

goldfish21 wrote:

Which was far before your complaint on page 8.

Apology accepted :? I suppose. Not sure how missing the chronological order of posts makes you more autistic, but ok. If you're referencing black & white all or nothing thinking, I *also* just made a point of saying that I, too, used to be a whole lot more like that and can understand it happening to people here. Why the  ? Seems unnecessarily rude & confrontational.

I dunno if that applies here. I would think it generally applies to negative labels like if I said "men are jerks and women are nasty." Then it becomes an argument about whether I meant ALL men are jerks or just the ones that inspired the post, or responses stating SOME women might be nasty women (according to the ex president of the united states) but you can't post that because not ALL women are etc. But I don't interpret those anti-bickering rules to mean one can never make a generalization about either sex ever. But I'm not an admin and don't moderate the forum so I can't be certain how they'd apply that to this.

Yep, genuine apology for getting posts mixed up.

The eye roll was because your comments about black and white thinking came accross as quite rude and condescending. I notice in another thread that you have been banned after your posts have been taken the wrong way, perhaps thins is another example (although I'm not trying to get you banned). I genuinely can't tell if people are OK or subtlely being jerks. If you're the former, please take another apology :D, if the latter well...

Black and white all or nothing no grey area thinking is typical of some (not all) people on the spectrum - which is why I brought it up. I also stated that I've been living in the grey area NT-ish world for 8 years and so am not used to thinking that way regularly myself these days, so it's not my daily MO and reading others posts with their brains & bodies functioning in ways like that reminds me of it, a throwback to 8+ years ago, and so I acknowledged all of those things matter of factly. Nothing rude or condescending about it, IMO, to acknowledge that "oh yeah, there are plenty of rigid binary 0 1 thinkers here so That's how this can happen." If that's rude then I guess I'm rude. *shrug*

That sounded like you were trying to explain why I might have misunderstood your intentions until I got to the last sentence with the shrug which once again makes it seem quite hostile. Plus, it seems that you also sometimes think in black and white if you took my last post to mean that you are rude instead of the more nuanced you might be rude depending on your intent.

Ok, so can we all agree that stats and graphs don’t represent everyone? Because it’s never the case.

I like women.

I'm not convinced the graph is particularly accurate, though.

If you look at couples, they are overwhelmingly in the same attractiveness league.
I stand by what I said. 8)

I think a lot of women do end up with men who initially saw as 'not hot' looks-wise.

Otherwise, they'll die single.

I wonder if the bottom graph correlates with how women perceive themselves.

That's actually an astute observation.
Women tend to be pretty tough on themselves. We base a lot of our value on our looks and we're usually critical about it and compare ourselves to other women often. We tend to feel like we're not "good enough."

I encountered a lot of women who say stuff like “My ex bf was not sexy...”, “my ex was fat and unfit”.... or even more negative details of her exes’s physical traits down there if she is intimate with me.

This is sad, I wouldn’t want to be with someone who finds me ugly or unattractive.

It's nearly impossible for you to ever have been unattractive.

Awww.

We all get old eventually; and that lockdown forcing minimal physical activities doesn’t help.

I mean hopefully this is obviously the case.

People are generalising.

In general = not for everyone. For the majority.

Materialistically. Looks is important. Money moreso. But to some, being saved, trumps all. In the end it all comes down to Power.
