Yes i really miss my one and only girlfriend right now.
she is not with me now because of some misunderstanding between us. she said she doesn't wanna talk to me but i don't know why what is the problem actually, I was fully tried to convince her but she said there is no any reason for our brake up and she doesn't wanna get me back in her life,
She only want's to live life happily with her all friend's without me.

I miss the old me who was motivated to do his own projects and didn't brood about his pecuniary and social failures.

I also miss my GF who I knew for over a year. Had to break it off, though. I don't think we were happy.

I miss some "friends" even though I probably shouldn´t.
We used to hang out after classes and do things together and it was quite enjoyable because we had a lot of things in common and we allways had fun wether we were going to grab a bite or to the cinema.

For some reason they stopped calling me a couple of months ago and started avoiding me. We have talked a few times since then and we tried going back to doing things together but it didnt work out.

I guess I miss the connection I felt with them.

I miss David. He did so much for me. I feel like such a selfish person and I'm afraid to talk to him because I know he's mad at me and I don't blame him. I wish I wasn't the way I am.

I miss my former professor who eventually became my friend. He's teaching in China now, and I don't think I'm likely to ever see him again. We've been writing, but it's just not the same. He changed my life. I miss him.

i am 8 months an orphan (dad died 3.5 years ago, mom died 8 months ago). though i dunno if i am appropriately an orphan as i'm middle aged, it is a strange and sad feeling to have an empty generation above me.

Sorry of your loss as well. It is an odd feeling...and made more so by the fact that I'm only three months away from the young age that my father died. I can't take credit for using the term orphan in this context as an adult. Harry Truman said this, if I recall correctly, when his beloved mother passed.
