Indiana has super cheap cost of living, compared to most of the US. I live in a nice neighborhood and there are 2 bedroom apartments for $525.

There are quite a few colleges here too. Maybe you can move!

You're both good looking people. Good luck with it, but try not to put yourself into a situation you can't get out of. I'm 10 years older than you are, and I've certainly made my share of terrible decisions when it comes to looking for love. Finally though, this Aspie found herself an ADHDer, and we understand and tolerate each other...and just have a lot of FUN!

Here's another thought. How many other guys online might she be in a similar relationship with, invisible to you?

Don't bother talking sense into the OP, Keeno. He's found digital love.

yeah, one of those people posting that it might actually be some 40 yr old dude pretending to be a girl actually had me paranoid about that for a day or two haha, It was kinda a relief when since she knew i couldn't really make long distance calls, she decided to surprise me by sending one of those voice-recording text thingies on my phone. So i got to hear her voice (which as it turns out she has a pretty beautiful voice), & she said enough to confirm her identity.

& as of today we've been dating a month with nothing having gone wrong, so i'm feeling pretty good about it :) .

& thanks!!

just a little general FYI - i have a medical related associates degree - and one thing i have learned is that one of the best times to make love to a woman is right on and during her period - it may be a little messy and bloody - but that is also when she is the HORNIEST - and the orgasms she has during it work as a natural pain killer - they work as a natural pain killer because they help take away the pain from menstural cramps.
Hahaha yeah, i've read about that too  .
& i can testify to the horniness. When she was on her period around New Years Eve, it was prettyyy evident.

Ehhh, actually she's told me that all her past relationships (3 to be exact), were also long-distance.

which leads me to believe either long-distance is just her thing or her AS inhibits her sociability with new people so much that she prefers to meet them online first & get to know them that way first before dating.

Plus she seems to really like me. As much as i like her in fact, & i got the whole "aspie-loyalty (aspie-obsession) factor" working for me. Which if is indeed actually true for most aspies, would mean in all likelihood means she won't duck out unless i give her fairly good reason not to like me anymore.

with my disability benefits i get $339/month. I'd just need to find a roomie to split the cost & i'd be able to afford it. I'd be surviving off the cheapest top ramen with how little money i'd have left over until i were able to findt a job there though which would suck hardcore.

Oh, and incidentally my girlfriend does have ADHD  .
Fun times ahead?

Where in Indiana does she live? In Indianapolis the job situation is better than it is in a lot of smaller towns. There is also a non-profit here called DAMAR Services...they have raised a lot of awareness regarding disabilities and the employability of those with disabilities.

In regards to "fun times"...we have a lot of fun together. We tolerate each others quirks far better than anyone in either of our pasts has...but it is a challenge. He has a hard time keeping a job because he often can't meet deadlines. I have a hard time getting a job because I'm just about the world's worst interviewer (can't make small talk, have trouble making eye contact appear natural, etc.). I'm highly analytical and one of my "stupid aspie tricks" is related to categorizing and spatial recognition. So, we'll end up in arguments about the dumbest stuff...like him insisting the couch will fit someplace that it clearly won't, or doing a crappy job of packing the car, or putting the dishes away in the wrong place. It's a challenge, but it's a worthwhile challenge.

And I think you're right about her being more comfortable meeting people online first. A date is basically like an interview. And we are really crappy interviewers! So, if we get to know someone a little bit prior to meeting face to face, it eases up the interview-tensions meeting a new person produces...you know...a first impression that we're a total weirdo or super shy.

I say he was just exciting about the internet girlfriend, no matter how silly you think it is. I have friends that have had something good happen or whatever that was awesome and they would tell me about it, and they'd be so excited, but their intention wouldn't be bragging. And about the rosie odonell thing, It depends on his preferences and if he'd date somebody that looked like rosie o'donnel. He wouldn't have gone out with the girl in the first place if that were the case. But I think if he had a girlfriend that he would date, but didn't look just as "good" as that girl, he'd still have posted about it. And about the internet dating thing, it's very common though no matter how silly some people might think it is. You said it still is a problem with you that he made a post about his internet girlfriend....but why? Isn't it time to move on? Why would you still have problems with it? It's just a waste of time.

I like this quote pyramid you guys are building over this stupid topic. I'll help make it bigger, just reply!

Online relationships are probably as hard to obtain as a real-life relationship, but in a different way. But there are less benefits. I think online girlfriends are a joke! I have tried a dating site... nothing. I feel like this society does not give me a fair chance at letting me be who I am. I don't think I have a chance of meeting a girl at the community college I am going to. They are all pretty damned good looking (or at least most of them), but me, as an aspie, cannot connect with people.

My life sucks. I want a friend at least.

But I'm in no way jealous of this stupid crap.

Because I think online relationships are a joke. Give me a real relationship any day, any time, if it ever happens.

If that girl living downstairs was actually interested in me, I would be as happy as a clam! But no, I guess not. I think she is just a tease. No f*****g surprise, considering that she barely looks old enough to be going to college. f*****g teasers. I would beat them all in the head with a shovel!

You may not think much of my manhood because of my desire to beat a woman, but what kind of a man can't even get a girl even though he is good looking and nice?

Not a man to me. I'm not a man.

Your online girlfriend seems like just another byotch with an IQ that resembles a soccer score.

There are two simple ways to tell if she's a fake profile without having to resort to fakersbusted.com

Get her to take a sign pic.. a pic of her holding up a piece of paper saying something you ask her to write.
Get on MSN webcam

If she IS the real deal, then you have my congratulations. I hope you're both very happy together. :)

To the people bring rude in here, stop being jealous douche bags. Yeah If I was him I would get her to prove herself as real straight away but there really is no need for the douche baggery i've seen in here.

An internet relationship isn't a relationship. There's no face to face, no touching, no going out on dates, no hanging out. Also, I wouldn't want to see him save up his government money and travel across the other side of the country only to find out either she isn't who she said she was (not just talking physically) or that she had a real relationship on the side.

Pardon some of us for having common sense...

Even at my lonliest I've never wanted a relationship with a make believe person.

Yeah I don't think it is either, but everyone is different. Why try and force your values upon others?
If he saves up and travels WITHOUT doing what I said in my post above he is an absolute fool.

There needs to be douchebaggery on here until we get the real answer. And so far, the OP hasn't said anything about calling her or her doing a specialized picture. Not to mention showing only one picture of her and she isn't a member of WP as far as I know.

This is a troll thread. The OP is probably laughing at all of you right now.
