I was on Okcupid but lost interest I rather meet people at church work or anywhere but the last girl I dated that I met on line didnt end so well had a bad experience with it

I don't think I am the best at conversation (what a surprise). It has only been a few days that I have been on Okcupid but it seems like after I exchange a few messages with people they don't answer.

Exception would be 2 girls that live in the same town as me, or in walking distance of it. One is under 18 lol.

Something you only see if you are a premium member. Sense I am not I don't know anymore about it besides that. You can do searches on match % and attractiveness

Success on there seems to come unexpectedly and suddenly, at least for me.
I had a "date at 6pm, get home at 2pm" encounter this weekend thanks to that site while being a not hugely attractively compelling and overweight.

Even with a lengthy profile, people can be significantly more multidimensional than any advertisement can indicate.
Seems to work to a higher degree as a guy to hold any reservations until actually knowing the person to any degree.

That is something I've found also.

The worst thing though is, the closer I get to my own age range, the more likely they are to have kids already, which is a complete deal breaker. So then I'm stuck looking at women in the 21-23 year old range and none of them ever seem to be interested.

I received an email from OkC that said I was highly rated and would only be matched with people of similar ratings. It has to do with how many visits you get and how many messages plus actual ratings/add to favorites

I'm actually thinking of starting an account on this site (OKCupid). Dunno if I should or not... still feeling a bit wishywashy about it. After my last "romantic interlude", I'm pretty gunshy about guys, and the things I hear from them. Of course, if you know you're damaged goods, is it fair to put yourself out there? Hmmm.... I dunno. I guess I'll keep debating myself about this.

I'll keep my eye on this thread to see what happens. I'm interested in what you folks have to say.
