I agree that its something that should be one of the major selling points of yourself on online dating. Though Im often anoyed by the women that take 2 pictures and write less than 2 sentences as a profile. Thats taking it too far and then you have nobody to blame but themselves for getting only jerks.

I wish working out would make my body look good. =P

But yeah, it's great that this helps people get more replies. And I do think this thread should be stickied, since it's a method that works. Even though I think a good profile should be just as, if not more, important than a profile picture.

Well yeah a lot of us are. I used to be that hardcore aspergers stereotype but I forced myself out of my comfort zone. I'm still by no means normal but I do a lot better in social situations and in relationships than the average aspie because of it. I just think a lot of us are too scared rejection and leaving our bubbles that it damages any chance we have for a relationship. But the ones like me (and quite a few others I know) who have worked for years and forced themselves to be social have a lot better chance of succeeding.

Well I'm not sure "scared" is the right word for it more like foolish all I I imagine when I see an aspie male going in to a relationship is a male spending countless hours and dollars doing things that are of little to no intrest to them just so they can keep their master amused.

Better to spend your time and energies directed towards comic books and video games (if your that sterotype) when was the last time you saw a girle at a comic book/game convection. It doesn't happen and I'm sorry girlies playing wii "sports' or Dance Dance "revoultion' on a rainy Sunday afternoon is not a gamer.

I don't know what that is :?

Because there are are many aspies who are a 7 or an 8 who'd be content if a 5 gave them a chance.

Yes it does, frequently. Even attractive girls, frequently.

Things aren't the same now as they used to be.

I don't know about you but I find going out to restaurants, seeing the latest movies and playing on the Wii quite fun. Different strokes for different folks.

yes. the last 5 years have seen a rapid seachange in the number of girl-nerds. If I've noticed that in my little s**thole of a town.. then I know it must be a larger cultural shift..
