19, 25 and 28.

19 had no house or job, was short and chubby. 25 didn’t own a house or car and was chubbyish, 28 had no house, car or job and was short. Also no clue, that guy was a w*ker.

I know it sounds harsh, but honestly, I cannot sympathise with fat people who play victim when it's their own damn fault. Whether people want to change or not is none of my concern, but atleast take responsibility for your actions.

Men are pretty much universally more attracted to slim women, it's simply a fact.

Thanks to hale bopp for needlessly relying on stupid stereotypes to make a point, and let her own sexism shine through. Being fat doesn't make you smarter, and being muscular doesn't make you brainless. That makes no sense. I know alot of men who work out, who are very very smart, creative, ambitious, artistic. Everything from conservatory level jazz musicians, to phd students, who also happen to appreciate having a strong and healthy body.

A sound mind, is a sound body. Not taking care of your body doesn't make you smart.

Well said.

I've been way too scrawny (130lbs at age 21 w/a 35" chest). I began to dislike my look because women disliked my look. I was the guy that was either felt sorry for or mocked. I took responsibility.

I've been overweight - when I was 31-34 I was around 190lbs. IAgain, I took responsibility and didn't consider myself dateable at the time and so lost weight.

What were your heights ?

How many women care about a man's height?

Does this short list include the finger-in-butt guy?

I weight 60 kg, 5'3 of height.

I changed my lifestyle instantly: I was neglecting cardio training in gym, now i am doing 50 mins of it daily; I dropped all fast food, unnatural sweets (except dark chocolate which is good), less red meat, more fish, more olive oil, more nuts, more vegetables. I cut all fried things, more grilled and baked things.

Diets suck right? I miss sweets I miss steak and potatoes oh potatoes, fried, baked fries so many kids of potatoes. Know what gets boring rice and chicken.
I’m going try your a day cardio 3 days a week and work towards 5 days a week.

I don't know why I keep bothering, because you guys are so dense that you won't f*****g listen.

You can eat WHATEVER you want and still lose weight. Who the f**k told you that you can't eat steak and potatoes?

I really don't know why I keep giving advice to people who just ignore it. I am seriously getting frustrated, because you people keep whining about diets, but no one is forcing you to diet on the most bland foods imagineable. Your body does not categorize foods into "healthy" and "unhealthy". All it detects is total amount of energy, and nutrient breakdown. If you prefer steak and potatoes, then eat steak and potatoes. Steak is a good source of both fat and protein.

Also I’ve never met a muscle man who is a deep thinker or non superficial. Maybe I’ve just been unfortunate. Actually, I lie. I’ve met one.

Such a hypocrite.

*makes tongue pokey out faces* :P

Well, you and some other women here are hypocrites.

You keep telling the guys here not to judge women, and then you take the freedom to call all men who lift, brainless, which by the way makes no sense... in reality lifting weights is one of the best forms of exercise to increase your brain's plasticity.

It's a false stereotype created by people who need to put others down to feel better about themselves.
We want to feel the world is fair, so we create these false dichotomies in which good looking people ought to be stupid and smart people should be ugly.

Pretty sure I didn’t say anywhere that all muscle men are brainless, but whatever.

That was what you implied, but whatever.

I wouldn't bother mate.

Its absolutely hilarious how so few people know about calories in v. calories out or outright ignore the concept entirely.

This is basic stuff even militaries of centuries ago knew about before there was any knowledge of nutrition (their soldiers ate big after training to beef them up).

The ancient f*cking Greeks knew it.

And maybe only 10% of people in the internet age don't?

Millions a year made on sh*tty weight loss programs, "fat burner shakes", liposction, flimsy exercise machines when the "big secret" is right in front of their faces, usually on a plate.

I guess it gives scam artists a job.

You jelly Sly I eat potatoes nearly every day? Them sweet, sweet baked potatoes.

It depends how you cook the potatoes.
and same for the steak.

Also it depends which animal you are consuming; if it's cow or sheep or goat meat; sheep meat here is popular for bbq but it's considered fatty.
Non-fried fish is considered a healthier alternative to red meat.
Turkey and chicken are considered less fatty than other species of birds such as duck and swan. Not sure about quails, I used to eat of those.

My point is, that not only overweight people should eat healthy and be on "diet"; by diet here I don't mean losing weight, not in my case at least. I am not getting angry but I am simply switching food choices.

I weight 60 kg, and 5'3; I am not overweight at all; kinda toned, the suit adviser told me I have a broad chest; that's the first time a girl tells me so
lol. I was very skinny in the past.

But obviously there's a genetic cause in my cholesterol makeup; my mother is the same.

That's the whole problem right there. "Considered healthier", but not actually proven. Fat(yes even saturated fat) is essential for optimal hormone production. A fat free diet is not healthy. But then the problem is people go with that, and then say, "if fat is good, then carbs must be bad". People constantly cling to these extreme positions, because they just won't admit that they're eating too much. If you're overweight, the single best thing you can do for your health is start losing that fat ASAP, I don't even care if you diet on ice cream.

If you don't even know how many calories you're eating, don't bother eating chicken and rice, because you'll probably just overeat on those foods too.

None of my ranting was directed at you Boo btw. In regards to your cholesterol dilemma, which I agree is often genetic, instead of cutting things out of your diet, you might get better results by including more fiber, as I know fiber binds to cholesterol. Unless you're already consuming plenty of fiber, in that case just ignore me. :)

There's a reason why one feels tired after eating junk food.

There's a lot talk on sugar lately, I recall a scandal not a long ago how the sugar industry 50 years ago paid scientists to blame fat instead of sugar on heart diseases.

I don't know, I tend to get pretty tired if eat a large portion of chicken and brown rice too.

I'm not saying consuming tons of sugary foods is optimal, but fact is, most of the negatives people associate with eating sugar, or fat, or whatever boogie man people point their fingers at, are simply a result of consuming way too many calories. And foods high in fat and sugar are often very calorie dense, and easy to overeat. A healthy person should be perfectly able to handle quite a bit of sugar, especially with a sufficient fiber intake.

A study was done comparing different sugar intakes. Group 1 consumed less than 10 grams of sugar a day, and group 2 consumed around 100 grams of sugar. Both groups were in a moderate calorie deficit. Results both in fat loss, and in health markers were almost indentical, turns out most of the benefits came simply from calorie restriction.

Personally I don't feel tired after I eat a healthy meal; it's something I have always observed.
Not all burgers made feel like that either; but only those from BK and Macdo had a phenomenal fatigue effect on me (i rarely eat those, maybe once in a year if travelling and in hurry).

Meat and rice don't make me tired; rice and meat are abundant in our stew recipes.

That's the scandal i was talking about:

I know about that scandal, but the problem is that people use that to construct a new extreme position, instead of constructing something based on evidence. Just because the sugar industry paid to make fat look bad, does not mean, and is not evidence for sugar being bad.

^ Then what they were trying to hide?

The problem is sugar (sucrose) is there in all processed food.
Fructose isn't necessarily healthier because it taxes the liver highly if consumed without sufficient fiber.
The problem is in the quantities we are consuming and the lack of fiber.
