This place is stocked with an infinite supply of spiritous drinks.

And we certainly do take advantage of them

I would pick "The Bean" as my bartender.

Are you familiar with the golfer, John Daly, MissLizard? Sounds like something Daly would have done in his youth.

No,not really a follower of golf.Feel sorry for him if he had a hangover like I did,it lasted days.
It came about because a relative didn't want to go see the Toltec mounds, they wanted to go to Rivermarket instead, spent the day in a bar called Bubbas, then wound up in one called Camp David. Then I took out the tank on the toilet when I went back to the room to puke, never wear a long dress out drinking,I think I stepped on the hem and pitched forward, luckily I have a very hard head.It sure was a mess.Proves you can be as big a fool in your forties as your twenties.Made me leary of mixed drinks,no telling how strong they are.I usually stick with beer or wine,I know how to pace myself with them.
At least I didn't drive a Cadillac into a swimming pool :D

Well...Lizards are resilient! Except in cold weather, of course.

I'll have to look up the Toltec Mounds. I think Rivermarket is in Memphis, if I'm not mistaken. Nope---Little Rock!

Just play nice with those toilets!

I just looked up the Toltec Mounds. Would have much preferred going there than the Rivermarket. Very interesting spot!

Me too.I guess the good thing about Rivemarket is how they brought it back to life,it was not the area you would go to when I was a kid.I think they did that when they built that fugly Clinton museum,it looks like a double wide trailer. There used to be a homeless camp there, but they got displaced. There are lots of nice shops there,it is good to see downtown area brought back to life.
I'm never going back to that Hotel,we told them I fell on it getting out of the shower.Thank goodness for credit cards.
Some other family almost got car jacked there, some guys flagged them down leaving a bar late, and they were stupid enough to stop and roll down their windows, the cell phone got snatched and they had to peel out of there and get to hell out of dodge.Cant believe they were that dumb, you never stop for people late at night like that.LR has always been a very dangerous city, you are safer where you are in NYC.

They've done similar things to many cities. Richmond, VA has something similar, Norfolk, VA, too. Baltimore, of course, has the Inner Harbor. New York has the Meatpacking District.

All were bad neighborhoods before those shopping/dining meccas were built.

I'm not a shopper myself; but those, and other cities, had the right idea in preserving old areas, rather than simply demolishing them.

May I have a Cherry Grenadine please, Bartender?

Lol. I remember you mentioned Jack as living in your camp. Is it both a nudist and an autistic retreat?
Although I am TT, I must say comfort is my paramount concern. I refuse to wear a bra especially in summer, but if you just wear a shirt, men tend to look twice and linger. Lol So I wear an LL Bean hiking vest over my shirts. Not only does it cover my breasts, but I always have lots of pockets!

Seems sensible to me. Especially when you have to go shopping or something.

I'm Textilely Typical myself...when I'm outdoors. I'm Textilely Challenged at home, which is my "true self."

Us TC people have to stick together!

Anybody remember Top Cat (also known as T.C.)?

DOTH (Drinks on the House)!

Does anybody know how to make a Hand Grenade? I tasted one once in the French Quarter and it was incredible.

Like a Molotov Cocktail with tequila?

Seriously: I read that you could get the "trade secrets" through the company which manufactures them. Apparently, they sell the packets to New Orleans bars.

Ann, not an autistic club, but there used to be many of us here. Since moving towards a posher image, they have slowly been squeezing us out. The place has changed so much, and not in a good way.

The staring thing. Maybe I can explain by telling you a story a young, single man shared of his own experience. He was laying out by the pool when someone from membership committee stopped by and introduced him to a young single woman. They both started talking, and hit it off. They had lunch together, shared a banana split from our ice cream shop, danced at the poolside party, hiked, played boccee ball, and had dinner together ALL THE WHILE TOTALLY NUDE.

When she had to leave, he walked her out to her car. They chatted as she got dressed. It was not until after she had her top on, and was leaning over for something that he caught himself sneaking a peek down her shirt and thinking "nice." He had not even noticed while she was nude. That's just how it is.

Not sure if this is true, someone was talking about nudist retreats, and they said it was polite to lay a towel down wherever you sat.Makes sense to me.Maybe that was just the etiquette at this place,it was somewhere in Florida. They also mentioned that you don't notice the nudity.I don't care if other people go nude,it's just not comfortable to me,I need to wear a bra,but I wear the all cotton sports bras usually.Certain times of the years I don't think it would be comfortable here, the black gnat season. They like to get where it's moist, eyes, nose, those sensitive areas....You don't want gnats in the snatch. :D

A towel is ALWAYS put down before sitting down. A towel is more important than sunscreen.
