Oh, you don't eat meat? I don't think people here eat more meat then elsewhere in Europe, because meat is quite expensive while vegetables are super cheap.
Btw, most of what I know of Scandinavian food is lots of fish, meatballs and liver pate. And crackers and strange bread (I only eat liquid bread, AKA oat sodas).
Now that I think of it, almost all of the canned soups contain some meat, usually small meatballs or bits of chicken.

I used to be vegeterian, but now I eat some chicken and fish but mostly vegetarian food. I thought that in Holland meat was very cheap, all food over there is a lot cheaper than here. You also like your sugar, everything is very sweet, my bf was shocked that there was no sugar in the whipped cream in cakes here, and how much sugary stuff you put on bread is insane. But we on the other hand put way to much salt on everything. We eat a lot of fish, specially salmon. People do like meatballs to and knäckebröd, I don’t think we eat that much liver pate here though.

Yes, most food is fairly cheap here, I know Germans and Belgians often come here to shop. But I still think meat and fish is expensive compared to other foods, maybe not compared to what it costs in other countries. Dutch people go to Germany to buy beer and cigarettes and firework. That is one thing I really hate about the Netherlands, firework. December and Januari sound like a warzone over here. I always hated it since I was a kid because our cats would be terrified of it.
