So are you saying this is a barrier to something or is it just a fact of life I shouldn't worry about?

I'm saying I agree with your statement, you might want to double check what you meant in the first place :P

Well I'm into cars so I would like to find one women will appreciate more & I'm not trendy enough to know what that is. I'm basically just window shopping but I'll buy something eventually so I want to make sure I choose wisely.

Guys on here are always complaining that a lack of nice car(s) is a problem with dating so I'm thinking I should do something about it since I can. I'm not trying to dish out pick up lines from a BMW, I simply want to think up something classy that will save me money on insurance or gas.

Either I'm too image conscious (unlikely) or I can be doing more to present myself more honestly & become more relatable.

I think that involves a lot more aesthetic choices than I've put any thought towards. I know design a lot better than I know fashion, for what that's worth.

definitely presenting a good image is important. First impression count. You can be the sharpest looking version of yourself :D

I guess I should have directed my question at women but I figured guys might also know what's current in terms of attractive design or cool stuff.

Normally I buy retro or fast cars but next time I want to break the pattern.

It occurs to me that I made this thread because despite having considerable means, I have no idea what to do.

I feel doubly cornered considering I've figured out a lot of things everyone says I need to, that just doesn't automatically fix a dude in any particularly fulfilling way. I need to focus on keeping my job but that gets tougher the more it keeps me away from people.

I hope that means my vernacular will work for me & not against me.

This reminds of the car purchase scene in the Borat movie.

It is EXACTLY that situation but I have some taste.

I'm guessing the Lebanese ideal would be a Mercedes-Benz?

I'll answer as a woman. I'd want my date / boyfriend to have any car so long as he keeps it clean, it doesn't smell like smoke, and he can make the payments without complaining that he's broke all the time. I'm not saying that he should have extra money for my sake, but it's a real turn off when people get themselves in debt to impress others and they spend all their time complaining about a lack of money.

I should mention that how you drive the car is more important than what type it is. I hate when guys are rude, impatient drivers who speed, tailgate, curse and complain the whole time.

blooie: I'm sorry to hear that. They sound like terribly superficial people.
