First of all, you do not know that they actually are happy together.

And attraction is subjective. I'm not interested in slender blondes, and the media suggests most men are. It could be that they find each other attractive even if you don't.

I'm sure people who are not physically attractive can still develop a loving relationship based or shared passions and interests or even just discovering that they really enjoy each other's company. I interpreted the situation you proposed as a couple coming together because neither of them was attractive to get anyone else.

Oh well maybe they would go for each other if they have this in common as a starting point in dating, but I didn't mean to imply this would be the basis for an entire relationship. There would have be to be other things to make the relationship work too of course.

sexual attraction can be quite idiosyncratic. that opens an opportunity for "unconventionally attractive folks" to find happiness together.

I've had crushes on plenty of "unconventionally attractive" people.

In fact, I don't really dig "model types" at all.

I dated my ex despite finding her unattractive. And that turned out to be the biggest regret of my life.

You do realize the "unconventionally attractive" is very different from "conventionally unattractive".

They can certainly overlap.

Ive also dug people who few people would find attractive.

And I’ve been rejected by said “unattractive” people.

T levels seem to correspond with attractiveness in general, you see this in businessmen, rock stars, and in men in general in terms of people responding more to the high-t men.

I have very low T. I went to a men's clinic for treatment. I had to pay out of pocket because insurance will not cover hormone therapy. And after 3 or 4 months I was still not seeing any results. Then covid hit I couldn't finish even though I had paid over 2K.

I went on a couple dates with a girl I found physically unattractive who I suspect to be on the spectrum. She looked cute in her photos but when we met up for the first time, she didn't look that good and I found her to be unattractive within 5 seconds of meeting her. It also didn't help she showed up looking like a slob, sunglasses, and a big ugly ball cap on her head. I wanted to be polite so I continued to be friendly towards her throughout our "date".

I wound up giving her another chance but yeah... it just wasn't going to work out.

Moral of the story is don't date someone who you find ugly. Because if you date someone who you find ugly, the relationship will be bad simply because you don't give a crap about making it work because you're not heavily invested in the person anyways.

unfortunately, body fat gets in the way of T, and when i was obese myself i had substantial troubles in that department, it was like a vicious circle. the only way out of that was to drop weight any way i could. hello Nordic Trek machine. goodbye refined carbs. i just had to learn to ignore hunger and fatigue and redirect my thoughts elsewhere. d-aspartame x 3 grams per day is a good supplement i use, along with tongkat ali. i do isometric exercises and pushups/crunches because that tells the body to make more T. $2k is an alarming amount to spend, for sure, sorry you had to go through that. on the weightlifters' forums i learned that some are using Emclomiphene to tell their brain to tell the testes to generate more T. the medication Clomid contains Emclomiphene. better to use Emclomiphene than the combo drug Clomid.

These are good points. Perhaps since the OP is socially inept as he pointed out that he just needs to look for women that are as well and that might help?

i say to give them enough chances to where they think that finally they found somebody who "gets" them.

You mean for the women to think that? Hopefully, but it was pointed out before how guys do not have problems with women being socially inept as long as they are attractive, so would a woman normally think 'finally a guy who gets me', if most guys do not care if a woman is socially inept or not as long as they are attractive?

i was thinking more along the lines of one both unconventionally attractive as well as being autistic, who after a lifetime of rejection may be hesitant to trust anybody.
