LIke I just get the impression not all guys with a high body count are actually good at sex, maybe they are better at getting a one night stand but that doesn't mean they actually took care to make sure the woman got the same amount of pleasure they did during it.

The hookup culture is here to stay though. Yes of course, there is a "buyer beware" and I'm sure there plenty of flops among the men advertising their claims of sexual prowess. But women still want no strings attached sex otherwise these sites wouldn't still be around.
On the male side there are a lot who simply don't get a single woman swiping right. Then there are others who are catfished. Apparently older and larger women post older photos when they were younger, slimmer and prettier to catch a horny fool.

But I realize hooking up is a bit different, but idk even in a hook up a woman may not want to make it obvious if she is not getting there, especially if the guy is really trying. Because she doesn't want to hurt his feelings. Not saying that is better than being honest, but I can understand why women may not want to make it so obviouis the sex isn't great.
My understanding of popular hookup sites is that the women using these sites also don't want inexperienced men because precisely the reason you mentioned that the sex won't be great and they will have to do all the work.
Therefore its not so much the look that attracts the female users but the impression the dude is "experienced" so can satisfy. This might be another reason why "bad boys" get a lot of female attention. The perception is the man is experienced so the sex will be good.
Well that is what I mean, like experienced in what exactly....giving women great orgasms or having a high body count? like those are different things a guy can easily hook up with women and not give satisfying sex and say they have a high body count. So I just think, if women look to high body count as evidence the guy is actually great at sex like how do they know the previous partners of the guy actually enjoyed the sex with him...? LIke idk from what I hear a lot on reddit seems women get hook ups who think the right way of going about things is to just shove their dick in with no foreplay or anything to get the female partner ready.

Catfishing is freaking horrible, like ick...I was watching a show that had to do with that, and there was one episode where this woman made a fake account and was talking to this other woman, the other woman thought she had a long distance relationship and all this, but it was totally fake..they spent years talking to this person but got suscpcious that anytime they agreed to meet in person something would come up.
So the people on the show found this person and found they had just been stringing along the victim with a fake profile. But the ended up contacting the person to have them meet in real life with the person they catfished. The catfish had the audacity to try and beg the victim to not onlyy forgive her but get in a relationship with her...after she had f****d the poor woman for a couple of years by pretending to be in an online relationship with her using a fake profile. The victim was obviously like 'no f**k you, you freaking play this game with me for 5 years not even being a genuine person and you think I am going to go out with you? Cause yeah idk how long the catfish figured she could keep going, but like once she was caught had like crocodile tears and yeah litterally begging the person she gaslit for a couple of years to consider making the relationship offical. like 'yeah I was being fake, but it was for like years why won't you just marry me even if I did to inappropriate things to remain in your life...
But yeah to me the phenomena is weird, like does a catfish person really think they won't get found out at some point?

Is there a reason why men are more threatened by that compared to women out of curiosity?

I just noticed the actual OP question.
First of all, I would never discuss body count with anyone.
It would gross me out if there's was high and they told people about it.
It certainly wouldn't make me think they were better in bed.
I'd think they likely had a disease, a sex addiction, or they were narcissistic.

You'd be surprised, even sportstars and celebrities get catfished. I think when people are lonely they are vulnerable.
One woman who catfished another female (pretending to be a hot man) said she enjoyed the thrill and power it gave her over the other person.

I admit I was always looking for a boyfriend, but ended up in hook up situations but I thought having the sex might end up turning into something longer term(which was kind of naive). LIke I did not realize it would be best to be upfront I want a boyfriend girlfriend relationship and am not interested in anything else. But I was naive and just assumed like having sex with a guy would make them consider being a longer term partner. No turns out I should have always stuck to I want a boyfriend to have sex with, not I'll have sex with a guy hoping they will be my boyfriend.
When I was single, I was always looking for a girlfriend. If somebody I met wanted to have sex with me, then I would continue to date them. I never had the intention of dumping that person, but sometimes the situation just didn't work out. I guess there were 2 outstanding cases of when I literally ran away from a relationship. The first was a situation that began when the other person told me they wanted to have sex. The second situation was one in which I guess you might claim that I "seduced" the woman but that basically happened because she was horny after her husband had left her. In both cases, there were things I simply couldn't deal with. I suppose that if I knew then what I know now about women and people in general, I could have handled those situations differently. But in neither case did I begin having sex with somebody with the intention that I would dump them when it got boring or whatever.

The R word? "ret*d" (verb) is a french word meaning that something is slowed or delayed.
We all have developmental delays if we're on the spectrum.
Technically, the word is correct.
It's sad that some people use it as an insult just like other slurs, but the meaning is sound.

Yes I know the r-word was originally used by psychologists along with imbecile, moron, idiot etc...to clinically define people of low intellect.
It entered common language as slurs and has remained. Trying to say that its used by engineers etc to define ret*d basins etc or other examples is simply deflect the intent from it's connotations (which everybody knows).
"Body count" is one of many metaphors/analogues that have become commonplace in social media so invariably enters the language of young people. There's podcasters who walk around asking young people near nighclubs "what's their bodycount" and they get lots of laughter. For them its all a bit of fun. But its messed up because especially for women it demeans the meaning of their life to to the volume of their sexual experiences. But that's where we are in 2022.
Why then if you consider it to be a demeaning term do you use it? Because everyone else is using it? The "young people"?

That's not inaccurate, though I think the ugliness was more from lack of hygiene then specifically ugly features. Maybe she should have spent more time showering and developing a personality and less time cat-fishing.

Oh I guess I mean sometimes women say all the guy does it is hump then and that's it, no effort to pleasure her further, if that helps?
You could also have the case where he makes her come but she feels she's had better in the past or that she could have done equally well with a vibrator, without having to deal with arranging the Tinder date.
One can set any quirky criteria when choosing one's partner...as long as the person does not use this to blame people who do not meet their criteria.
