The definition or at least the feeling of love is centric around your regard for another person... I don't think it is even possible to 'love' yourself, at least following the same meaning of love that you would use to refer to others. What you guys are calling self-love I would equate to something more similar to self-confidence and it doesn't really relate to love for others. So my answer is yes, because they're two completely different things that just happen to be called the same word.

I hate who I am so I wonder if I do need love from someone else. Despite my hate, I can't change who I am or I would just be a phony.
