Word.

I would take nothing rather than "settle" for someone too.

All things considered, being alone isn't as bad as the guilt and pain of a bad relationship. Nothing wrong with looking, but be realistic and make sure you're not dating a total tosser.

What about if people don't like you for yourself? I've yet to find a girl that appreciates my sense of humor.

Well, what is funny changes fairly predictably over the course of a child's development. Aspies tend to have at least parts of their emotional maturity happen much later than is typical. It's possible that your humor is simply not remotely funny to girls your age.

If it tends to revolve around body functions, then yeah, they don't find you funny because that's humor typical for 10-year-olds, not adults.

I'd say, dont try ' to better yourself'. And be dominant.
That's how you get women's attention. They like guys with balls.

No, I like those things on YouTube where they scramble what people say from like movies shows and stuff and make very humorous sentences out of them......sentences that have to do with sexual stuff, lol. So yeah I guess it is like that. I wouldn't want that to change though.

Any yeah, no girl has ever found any of it funny at all. And that's supposed to be one of the keys to girls. Oh well, just another crucial thing that I lack.

Bettering myself is unrelated to the partner search.

Many of the ways I am bettering myself stem from the geographical concept of sustainability.

Well, there's a couple billion girls out there. So, I'm sure there's alot more than you think, that will appreciate your sense of humor. Probably alot more than you would care to handle.

Yeah, very few adult women are ever going to think that's funny. You might find one though -- I know one couple happily married for decades who came together over a mutual love of fart jokes.

I cannot keep up with or handle a relationship with an NT, yet there are no female Aspies anywhere near San Antonio or Austin.

What's the point? Everybody thinks I am a loser.

Here is how I am a loser:

1. I am a Christian.
2. I am not a left-wing radical.
3. My dream car is an SUV and not a Prius.
4. I don't drink or smoke weed.
5. I am a cartographer and not a freelance artist.
6. I want to start a family (apparently, it's vogue to not want kids).

I agree, its stupid when people do things that way.

My best advice, take a look around, see what's out there, but also - figure out who would best fit you. Likely from what you're saying you need someone who's a reflection of yourself. Figure out how that type of girl generally dresses, talks, carries herself, what sort of glow you would see in her eyes (again, personality), and really don't waste your time with people who you can tell have either different ambitions or no ambitions at all - its actually a mutual waste, if anything tell yourself that you're doing it for them.

Here's some thoughts on the bullet points:

Tim_Tex wrote:

Don't look for women in libraries, coffee shops, or hippie fests. If your not *that* kind of aspie its not a good environment.

Tim_Tex wrote:

Again, avoid the Madura fests and hooka joints.

Tim_Tex wrote:

I could see not being focused on a Prius, not a masculine car. The SUV though, here's the only possible conflict - that may be good for marrying a future soccer mom? The family image that wraps itself around SUV's and mini-vans is, probably the death of the guy who wants to travel and better himself.

Tim_Tex wrote:

That's really neither here nor there I guess. You may find a lot of independent and growth-minded people who smoke occasionally but, you'll find enough who don't.

Tim_Tex wrote:

Avoid artsy 'what do you do with your art?' type moaners. Then again, that's hand in hand with don't look for a woman at a coffee shop or hooka bar.

You've really brought up the same dynamic in four of your bullet points - don't date a liberal. If you don't like certain types of conservative women - don't go for them either, there are other types of conservative women. Probably your best aim, at least from what I think I'm getting, is a strong an independent woman who likes to work on herself and doesn't see family as the end of the road where all personal growth, artistry, self-exploration, and achievement has to stop.

And those are just the reasons why liberals think I am a loser.

Here is why conservatives think I am a loser:

1. I tolerate abortion and same-sex marriage.
2. I feel that it's ok to have sex/live together before getting married.
3. I feel that it's ok to experiment with kink/oral/fetishes--conservatives shun these because to them, anything other than vaginal penetration within marriage is evil.
4. I have interests that range from the Simpsons and South Park, to independent and foreign films. And I will go ahead and admit to having watched porn in the past. Those things would surely get me blackballed from conservative societies.

Ok, I stand somewhat corrected. I guess you may just need to really examine your beliefs, examine why you have them (from both sides), and figure out why it ties together. If any of your beliefs are because "society tells me I should feel this way" though - scrap it, going with what you can logically stand by will help to clean things up a lot more.
