congrats on your first cold approach during the day.
i didn't read your thread too thoroughly, but next time you see her tell her this with a smile and direct eye contact:
"hey i know you're busy, but if i didn't come over and talk to you i'd be kicking myself all day because you're kinda adorable"
if she doesn't look flattered, she doesn't like you and it wasn't meant to be. but oh boy, if she's attracted to you, she's gonna melt, and you are setting the entire interaction on the right track (i.e. you want to be more than friends with her).
if it fails, who cares, there's 3 billion others. go do this with the next 5 cute girls you see in a mall that either look at you or smile at you when you look at them in the eye.
