I have a cousin who dates black men almost exclusively. I have often wondered if it is because some caucasian women want the commonality of someone who is 'one-down' culturally, they want someone with more depth than a caucasian guy who doesn't know what it is like to not be the 'chosen one' societally', that is US culture I am talking about, I don't know if you are American, I can't remember if it said so. I have had tons of crushes on African American women but I have come to accept that I am the invisible woman to them, I don't ever seem to have registered in their field of vision at all for whatever reason.

I recommend simply doing or saying something on the first or second date that exemplifies how you differ from the stereotype. This should weed out the ones who are ONLY interested in you because they like the black guy stereotype, and narrow it down to ones who like you for who are are.
