I admit I keep my room, and bathroom rather messy. My mom tells me if I had a nice girl over and she saw it they would turn around and leave. Like my Bathroom has toothpaste in the sink and towels in the hamper filled to the top. If I want a decent looking girl would they think thats a big turnoff a guy who doesnt take care of stuff?

Your mother's reasoning is flawed, but the overall point is sound.

A 'messy' room with a day or two's worth of clothing (e.g. jacket, shoes) aren't going to be a cause for a woman to walk away. So I think 'messy' is your way of describing your situation.

'Dirty' will cause a girl to walk out (not really, but if it helps you to clean up, think you won't get anywhere with her).

Look, you're a guy. Women expect so little from you already. If you maintain sanitary levels of hygiene, can keep a tidy home and have a semblence of manners, you are ahead of 25% of the populace. Don't jeapardize your chances or reduce your 'level' in 'her' eyes to the guy who can't figure out how to do laundry.

The sense of smell is pretty important to humans. Clothing strewn and unclean laundry will be noticeable even if you do clean up the day before.
