Au contraire. Last night I was talking to a girl that had contacted me through Lavalife. She had sent me a nice e-mail about how mature I am and how it's great that I'm not just out there looking for you-know-what. Anyways, we're chatting on MSN last night, and she's talking about her past relationships, then she's asking me about mine. Although I said I had dated a number of girls, she said she was uncomfortable with someone who was inexperienced. She insisted that any guy she'll consider has to have experience kissing. I tried to tell her that was really shallow but there was no reasoning with her - she just insisted that experience equals confidence. I asked her what was so great about confidence, but she had no answer. She didn't think there was anything shallow about it. Eventhough she likes everything else about me, my lack of experience is enough to turn her right off. Yes, the fact that I've never kissed a girl on the lips.

damn man, i feel for you.... what a stupid useless b***h....! how the f**k does she think people GET experience in the first place! if she's with someone who doesn't ahve experience, maybe she should take the initiative... is that too much to ask!! ! sometimes i think computer games are better than real life... u kill people, u get experience... the computer doesn't tell you.... "sorry, you don't have experience, so go play another game"

Pay attention to her, but not too much attention. Try to figure out what she likes and win her over as a friend. Then, wait for her to break up with her current boyfriend. Get a little closer to her emotionally, but not too close. If she doesn't break up with her current boyfriend, she'll probably make a really good friend and you can leave it at that. If she does break up with her current boyfriend, try to find the right moment to ask her out yourself, and see what happens. Since you'd've known her for a while, there would be a good chance of her saying "yes."
If she doesn't, smile and say "let's just be friends." Then try to work out your feelings through some form of catharsis.
If she does, your life will go well and all will be settled.

sounds like a lot of work.... it should ideally be as simple as saying "lets have sex"

i wouldn't worry too much about the aging part... that's one area where men still have the upper hand... you see, with young people, it's guys who are desperate... as people get older, the tables are turned!

although it kinda sucks that you can't have your own kids

And, interestingly, a second girl said something very similar later in the week. She outright asked me if I had ever kissed a girl before (I've kissed the cheek three times, never on the lips), and she said that "innocence" is intimidating to her. And that was just one day after I asked her what she thought about whether experience matters to her, and she said it didn't matter to her.

Another girl who doesn't know what she wants. In any case, the requirement of "experience" is very shallow and stupid. I'd be interested to see what jman has to say about that.

Hey, at least you're finding girls there. Last I checked, the youngest woman on there was 25...not helping out seeing as I'm 19.

Are you from and searching in a sparsely populated area? An urban area naturally will increase your chances.

I was searching in Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina. Only 2 results, min age 25.

Interesting.

Try a wider area, covering all of North Carolina and adjacent states. Or, go to a different website.

Current update:
Still friends, hang out at my dorm now and then. Hasn't mentioned boyfriend; is going to an Anime convention in Durham in May (after school's out). It's a 3-day convention, stay overnight at hotel, she says I can come with the group. Her birthday is two days before the convention. Don't know if I should get her anything or whatnot.
