The largest age gap I've ever seen personally was me and my mate. He is 14 years older than me, for a while we 'dated', which is only in quotes cause to kids these days that wasn't a relationship, we never got physical. But I was with him for about three years, starting at 17, which threw off my dad a bit. Mum didn't mind since it wasn't sexual.

Its hard even to call it dating, it was more like mutually exclusive best mates. But neither one of us expressed interest in others because of the standing relationship, so I suppose it was dating. Lots of films and eating out. It was fun. Taught me a lot about how to be a proper person to the other half of the relationship too, so it was all good.

I should mention though that he was a TBI patient, it left him mentally both my age and older, depending on which part of his personality had been affected. So... not so sure you could really call it a 14 year age gap.

I totally know how you feel, and yet my girlfriend and I are only two and a half years apart in age.

I've never gone more than 5 years either way. I almost lost my virginity to the older girl, kickin myself because I didn't!! ! She was bizarre, but she was HAWT. It's always the crazy girls with me...

The youngest was a little 18 year old while I was in grad school. It was funny, because it seemed to me I was just as much a mentor to her as I was a love interest.

That's what you need to watch out for: overdoing the mentor role and being less of the love interest.

World famous Jack Horner of Jurassic Park-fame married a 19 yr old.
Age diff. = 46 years

Aside: Dr. Horner is soooooo dyslexic that he must have others read to him and that's how he made it through University.

My dad is high school teacher, and his current partner is a former student of his. The difference is about 15 years, give or take.

Me and wife have a 7 years age difference (I'm older), but often it appears that I'm the one being the youngest. I think perceived age is more important than actual age.

As long as people are beyond teenage, I think differences of 20 years is not really a problem, and especially if the perceived age difference is much smaller than that.

My former boss married a man 24 years younger than her.
They seem very happy.
Older woman/younger man seems less common than the other way around.

I find the lady okay.

She's a bit of a shopaholic LOL.

I think she has class most of the time.

Her only "least" is that she's not educated--especially for a rich person (she comes from a very wealthy family).

The good thing about her is that she has lots of practical knowledge, even though her academic knowledge is somewhat limited in some ways.

She can be a bit pushy at times involving such things as restaurant reservations.
