Sorry, but this site has been nothing but trouble. Another dating site actually did a spoof involving their users who were rejected from eHarmony.

eHarmony is a website that primary caters to NT christians. Back about 6 years ago, I went on that site and took their personality profile. It came back saying that I was like 1% of the population (translation: not like 99% of the population), and they didn't have anybody even remotely like me that they could match me with. It's a big waste of time. NTs get rejected too....if you indicate that you are anything but christian. So, if you are 13 and want to take a long quiz, just to find out how similar you are to others in their pool of "God-fearing" normals, go for it (although you have to put in a ficticious birthdate). Don't take it any farther than that, though. It is for 18 years old and older.

There are a few specific sites for asperger's folks to find mates, but they appear to be mostly men. We aspie women are out there, but most of us are excellent mimics and so blend in a bit better than the guys do. Men are expected to be individuals. Women are expected to be monochromatic, blending in with all the others.

My advice to you is to think real hard about what you are looking for in a girlfriend. If you are imagining the stereotypical NT girl that every other boy wants, you will be at a distinct disadvantage on that playing field. Not to mention the fact that those girls also have a mental image of what they want in a boy, and you can bet it's not a sensitive, intelligent, but socially awkward aspie, it's more along the lines of a Jonas brother or a hero from the Twilight saga.

Either try to locate girls that are a bit like yourself by virtue of their behavior in public, or be wildly creative....start a facebook page in which you indicate that you are searching for aspie girls, or girls that are intelligent and wish to be friends with somebody who respects them for it. You would be amazed at all the other kids there are out there, lost and confused about this weird thing called love.

As for me, I'm 48 years old, married to another aspie, and I have two grown girls, one who is mildly aspie, and the other not at all, a real popular social butterfly, so I can vouch for what those girls are really thinking. Best of luck to you, along with this one caveat: It is a wonderful thing to FULLY be yourself, but when interacting with others, whether online or in person, temper your responses and reactions so you don't come off as a snippy know-it-all. This simple old adage works wonders: If you can't say anything nice, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL...unless, of course, the sonofabiskit really has it coming.

Couldn't have put it better. Neil Clark Warren is an affiliate of the Religious Right. And I quote from that liberal bastion called Wikipedia:

Quote:
Warren attributes much of eHarmony's initial success to its promotion on the daily radio broadcast of Focus on the Family. As the company expanded and sought broader market share, Warren parted ways with Focus on the Family and its founder, James Dobson. In 2005, Warren discontinued his appearances on Dobson’s radio show and bought back rights to three of his books — Finding the Love of Your Life, Make Anger Your Ally, and Learning to Live with the Love of Your Life — originally published by Focus on the Family. As Warren explained, "We're trying to reach the whole world — people of all spiritual orientations, all political philosophies, all racial backgrounds."[3]

Thanks, Northeastern! The Wikipedia quote says that he wants to reach out to all others? That's a blatant load of hooey. My daughter did the same quiz, she deliberately put answers she figured the "typical" female would put, and she indicated that her religion was "Buddhist". She was also rejected. We came to the conclusion that eHarmony is nothing more than a thinly-veiled attempt at getting Christians together to breed...or something like that. Like there's not enough of them, and they're afraid that the muslims are out-breeding them. In any case, Mr. Warren doesn't want to say what his prejudices are, lest his whole website go down in flames, so he uses his special test to weed out the unbelievers. Wasn't this predicted in Revelations? "And the angel poured out the fifth vial, and the internet became flooded with hypocrites, false prophets, and charlatans." :D

Pretty much.
