I think whether or not they're royalty is a moot point. Being royal or not is something that happens by chance of birth, so it isn't a reflection of their own striving or personality. I'd want to marry someone I both loved and admired who shares my values.

I dont think I would make a good royal. For one I hate having my photo taken, so I would probably have a lot of altercations with paparazzi. Also I might get drunk and end up lying in the gutter or something. I wouldnt be able to keep up a high enough standard of behaviour.

I would make a terrible addition to the royal family. Having to maintain even more of a "public image" than I already have to maintain in my normal, regular life would drive me mad. You'd always have to be around tons of people, saying things and doing things correctly, constantly being criticized for everything you do. Eek, no thank you!

I am the same age as prince Charles and I would not trade my life for his.
I certainly would not want to be a prince or a king.

I would settle for being a mere duke or an earl. You get all the "class" and the money without people stalking you with cameras 24/7.

Stupid conservatives they attack the "dole bludgers" and disability pensioners * even when they don't know the reasons for their long term welfare dependency, (theirs usually a good reason , ) yet they don't seem to realise these "royals" are the worlds # 1 bludgers ,

If only the British where as courageous and showed initiative as did the French, Britain would be in a far better situation toady .

At the end of the day who cares if Trust Fund Timmy is getting married to gold digger Kate.

Do the Middleton's really want to marry into a inbred family that looks down on people who say "toilet" instead of "lavatory " some people really need to get a life!

* actually this really upsets me I've spent close to a 1/3 of my life on it thankfully I'm about to get off it , :) I no what it feels like to be attacked for been on it, it's not helpful that sort of thing is between your doctor and Centrelink (welfare) random strangers and "family" are not the ones to judge if their slackers or not, it's vicious and unfair.

 Lightbulb for your great idea.

And Labour is that much better is it :?

I mean we have Tony Blaire who warned Brown that Labour ( is their a U in Labor I'm not sure some say no ) should not go back to "old labour" really would that be such a bad thing , a bygone era where government built things an era where "public " services wasn't sold off to private industry and than either massively subsided or bought back by government at a latter date .

I'm not sure what the situation is their in the UK though "public" transport that's sold off to private sector in this country means higher fares, poorer services and greater cost to the government why are governments subsiding private enterprise ?

And wheres the consumer choice if I'm dissatisfied with the service it's not as if I'm in a situation where I can chose a rival tram service. I suppose I could go by car, though I chose to remain car less, in the eyes of that society hating witch with the criminal son (Maggie Thatcher ) that makes me an abject failure and I where it as a badge of honour !

Quote

"Anyone over thirty who's still catching a bus can consider themselves an abject failure"

Liberal Democrats are they much better, I need to look into that one...

I don't follow things in the media to any degree more than the internet forces me to, however Yahoo keeps telling me unsolicited tidbits about Prince William's fiancee Kate Middelton, and it has occurred to me that if I were her..or she were me, rather, and Prince William had wanted to marry me, I'd find the whole prospect of marrying into such a family very stressful!

It's not so much being in the public eye...people would very quickly become bored with me I'm sure, or would simply have to concoct strange rumors to cover up the fact that I am quite boring by NT standards, but I know the royal family is very particular about image, (maybe not so much Prince William and Prince Charles though) and part of keeping that image involves refraining from certain normal activities. Or at least having to go about them in a not so normal way due to the need for security.

How would you guys feel about marrying into a royal family?

I'd get sick of being in the public eye, and it'd make me even more paranoid... But then, I'd be royal, and I'd have s**tloads of cash... A hard choice. I'm not sure really :P

I think I'd love it - they wouldn't get a stroke of work out of me, and I'd always be embarrassing them by being a real "people's prince." I'd reveal their secrets to the press, refuse to do the military service thing or the church thing, probably have a TV show in which I broke with tradition and made political comments, particularly about the royal family being past its sell-by date. I'd be all familiar and vernacular, and I'd swear occasionally. I'd probably fill the palace with vagrants and dropouts. If the brasshats started gunning for me, I'd ask them to make me an offer like they made to Edward VIII.....he got a decent salary and a lovely villa in France, just for stepping down. After a position in the royal family, I'd never be poor again. 8)

Trouble is, I don't fancy any of the royal women. :(

^^^^^

Thanks it was a joke as in theirs no U in Labor party as in YOU the pleb.

I think our X Labor PM (worlds greatest treasurer Euro magazine )

Paul Keating said the Labor our "new Labor" said the modern day Labor party was pro markets but not necessarily pro business.

I think the latter is disputable....

I think Kate Middelton looks like a lovely young woman and probably deserves better than the life she has signed up for.

Better she should marry a local used car dealer than the future king.
