Goths and Emos annoy me so I wouldn't date them. What I truly want is a cross dressing boyfriend...

Before I had ever had a boyfriend, I didn't fantasize about what he would be like, I just knew I wanted one. And now, when I'm in between relationships I do the same thing pretty much. I don't fantasize about the actual guy, but I'll recognize if I'm lonely and wanting another boyfriend.

@Silhouette-Song, have you ever read Dan Savage's column (Savage Love)? He's kinda like the connection between the vanillas of the world and the alternative lifestylists. There's probably a community of straight, cross-dressing men out there somewhere.

Savage Love

Ditto.
Also, before we got together I used to fantasize about him sometimes (we'd gone out when we were younger, but I hadn't seen him in years). Turns out the reality was better than the fantasy!

I cannot and never could imagine what having a boyfriend would be like. I wouldn't know what to do, so I couldn't make up fantasies ahead of time for it either.

Well, what have you done to try and help yourself find one?

I think anyone whose judgement is clouded and impaired by love, all you see is your lover. For the rest of us, married, single, has a BF/GF, fantasizing about an ideal lover (emotionally, physically, or both) is normative.
