No.

There are easier/cheaper ways to get the best thing that a relationship offers (sex).

Says the guy who's never been in a relationship.

This place is a terrible place to come for advice, you're getting advice from people as socially inept as you are, if you want proper advice go to an NT forum.

That means it was either a really poor relationship or the sex was unimaginably fantastic...

Yes

My most substantial relationship was a mixed bag but more negative than positive. However it was a learning curve for me and therefore, on the whole, worthwile. I got a friend out of it too. Hope this is a better answer

I honestly don't see any reason to bother with relationships. I like flying solo.

Well in that case you have no right to say whats "best" about a relationship if you don't even know what it's like.

And who gave you the right to decide who has what rights? :P He can voice his opinion here if he wants.

Well there's this thing called pretending you know about something you don't which pisses people off.

What kind of girlfriend? Worth what? Each situation is different so we can't tell you whether or not it's "worth it" or not. For example I don't think having a cheating, lying girlfriend is worth all the time and pain that she puts you through.

Let me further explain for Ms. Feminist here:

You don't need someone to be happy. Most of the people in the world think you do, since that's the product and purpose of evolution: to procreate and continue our species. But you don't, you can be perfectly fine alone. Speaking for myself, having a relationship takes up too much of my time and energy; it's too much work having to care for and about someone else. So I've decided I'm much better off being single.

And second of all, if RICKY5 wants to be single too, he can. ;)

So then enlighten us... What exactly is the reward from having a girlfriend?

So that's the crux of the matter. Why do you think you want one so much? What do you think it will bring to your life? Do you feel "left out" from your peers?
