On the question of if I'm gay, I had to admit I'm bi. That didn't go down well.

On the others, it has been them telling me about their ex.

I see none of this as a problem but unfortunately they did.

My best results still remain people I have already known, therefore people who already knew me.

The bi answer was always a datekiller though. Despite that I will always answer that honestly. I value integrity over results.
I'm stumped as to why they would hate on you for being bi. If a gal told me she was bi, I'd understand & sympathise perfectly. It means we have one more thing in common: a lust for women.

I wonder how a gal would react if I answered honestly that I wish I was bi? :?

Or a teapot in orbit around Mars. (as the classic anlogy goes)

Did she mean that question as a compliment? - to infer you were too good to be true?

Yes after some months I asked her if it was a philosophical question or a compliment, apparently it was a compliment. At the time when she first asked me that question I could not answer, she didn't let me. But I already had some conversations where people ask "do we really exist?" or are we a dream?" and some sort of pretending-to-be-smart questions.
