That's your mistake. Do not enter a womans space casually, ever, unless you are only friends forever.

Otherwise move in with clear and decisive intention. Either you'll get waved off or you'll make touchdown.
Never do anything casual with a woman if you anything more than a friendship.
Yes it's worked on more than one occasion.
This one girl I could tell obviously wanted those fireworks and they would've went off, but I wasn't romanticly interested in her.
Yes, it has happened multiple times.
Have also had one night stands.
It's a lot easier than it looks. Just enter with intent.
I learned to be very confident.

But doesn't this strategy invite accusations of harassment (even if not actually brought in a court of law, then just damaging to your social reputation)?

I did look at your Experience Project profile, though, and you said you're really calm and reserved most of the time. So maybe it works to go from calm to sudden, because then she's confident if she's not ready, you'll go back to calm.

well yeah, she needs to feel safe with you before you do anything.
If you're worried about sexual harrasment with a female. Then, you should not be attempting anything at all with that female.

The point is, how do you judge this, particularly when you're attracted and want her to be ready? I mean, it's easy to see why one should avoid colleagues, students when teaching a class, etc.--because those people are "coerced" to be in your presence. But I'd imagine that certain female friends could feel harassed if they just want to be friends and totally don't expect any sexual/romantic advances, particularly if you've only seen them once (in which case you're almost definitely not even good friends yet).
