Yeah, if you're a twenty-something looking for a hookup...

Nothing wrong with that, but us *ahem* older folks have a tougher nut to crack than simply getting a girl into to sack...

I can imagine that sort of thing being a massive turn-off for some women too. It makes you look... 'untidy'? Some women really like that - as seen in your photo - but others would be repelled by it. A lot of it has to do with what social circles you mix in as well.

Ive found that too. It either makes you look dangerous, or it makes you look like you have bad hygene.

Is that a canoe in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?

I was thinking the latter although I didn't want to say it...

Best advice: learn to say hello to anyone.

That skill translates into things far beyond women. It's valuable in business, travel, socializing and just basic day-to-day functions such as going to the store.

Because single guys know more about girls than the girls themselves. Girls are shallow airheads who don't know their own minds. :P

I couldn't agree more with this post. Your face expression makes you look childish. Your haircut also isn't my taste, I think guys should have a short and not girl like hair.

As for MetalAspie, I see you smoke and all and I think you just harm youself for no good reason. You changed your appearance but appearance is not everything. I like the system of being yourself no matter what, without the need to be peer pressured to look cool, smoke or act in a different manner than your world of view.

Don't hesitate if the feelings right, because that will also make you look creepy.

If you're gonna try to cuddle up to a girl or touch legs with her, at least make sure the chemistry between you guys is ok enough where you can do it.
Should I make sure the chemistry is right first or should I avoid hesitation?

To determine whether the feeling is right or the chemistry is okay,
I must run statistical analysis for each variable and plug that into a decision matrix.
My margin of error exceeds the variables themselves by several orders of magnitude.
Hesitation is the ostensible symptom of such mind-racking calculation.

Intuitive knowledge of when "the feeling is right"
is a luxury that I do not possess.

I say avoid hesitation. Even she does reject you, who cares? It's all a learning experience. I've been rejected by lots of girls, but for every girl that has rejected me theres been at least 1 girl who doesnt. If she rejects you, just try to figure out what you did wrong and then try not to do it next time.
I think you misunderstood my point.
I can't comply with both pieces of advice, because following the second involves careful deliberation,
which is in turn construed as "hesitation".
I can follow the first one if I disregard the second and act recklessly.
When I pause, I'm not pondering a binary (yes/no) decision:
I'm deliberating the nuances of HOW to make my next move.

Some say I am too hesitant,
others say I am too forward,
and some say I am too backward,
so my timing is under scrutiny on all accounts
and I can't please everyone without breaking the space-time continuum.

I don't know why my pauses get such a bad wrap anyway.
Every action I perform is preceded by 13.7 billion years in which I did NOT perform that action.
The illusion that I "hesitate" only arises when my action is not immediately preceded by another obvious action.
One who insists on labeling my behavior as creepy for want of speed,
uses their impatience as a pretext to discriminate.

I'm addicted to cigarettes. I'm wayyyy past the point where I'm just trying to fit in. Now it's just a crutch that I'd like to get rid of, but it's hard. If you'd given me that same advice 4 years ago, I might have listened. but it's a little late now.

Practice makes perfect though. Best advice - watch the movie Dazed & Confused over and over again. That movie is like a tutorial guide on how to act in social situations. I've grown so socially fluent that when I tell NT people that i have aspergers, they think I'm kidding.

And appearence also has alot to do with it. Keep yourself in shape, and theres nothing wrong with spending a good amount of time in front of the mirror to make yourself look good.

This was me a couple years ago. Chubby, kinda dorky, awkward...Not exactly "ladies man material"

and this is me now. nuff said

Why only Asians?

None of those girls look Asian?

Either way thread author has my congrats. You tried to do something about your life instead of whining on an internet forum about how women are shallow air heads and gold diggers. :P

quite an interesting remark, though i think the larger majority here are more focused whining on themselves than on women.

Sorry I tend to focus on a small handful of members who are like that.
