Go to the UK office in your smartest thobe and keffiyeh (known as a 'tea towel' to us Brits - we used to make them round here, I'm not kidding - keffiyehs, not tea towels), do your best "Death to the West!" impression (in English for added effect, natch) and you'll be a shoo-in, mate. Threaten to murder the family of the interviewer if you don't get what you want, they'll even throw in a job and car, too. I know, I've seen it in the films. ;)

Because it is nasty, and malignant, and creeping. Not all Islam or all Muslims (I'm wise enough to know this, and I've met many nice enough Muslim folks, including Boo and others and I'm not in the EDL either), just certain types. He needs to stop trying to have sex with me and find a nice Lebanese chap to do it too though, bless 'im.

I'm glad. I'm glad you find it offensive. In fact, I'm glad that you spared a couple of seconds to be offended at my finding these sects of Islam offensive. Thank you; I win. It's also something to post about when I'm bored. Like now.

You can go away and be all offended and hot and bothered that I've defamed the Religion of Peace once again, a peace that no-one ever really sees in action. Isn't that nice? Come back tomorrow morning and tell me you've contracted leprosy through your offence. Alternatively, you could simply ignore me and consider me little more than a troll. I leave it up to you to make the right decision, Inshallah.

Oh, and I dislike lots of other things too (the loss of freedom; the EU; not being able to find decent new beers to try; salt being removed from every commercial product). Just that the ROP is being talked about a lot at this moment.

Islam is not a race, it's a religion. A religion that is more often seen to be ugly, homophobic, bigoted and totalitarian, abhorring freedom and liberal democracy and exalting the repression of women.

A closer insult would be 'religiously intolerant' or 'sectarian', even to the genuine Muslim-haters. Hopefully the peoples of Europe will wise up to this threat and take actions accordingly, therefore hopefully avoiding any bloodshed. Middle Eastern culture is fantastic and it's one of the shames of this world that Islam still holds that region like a death grip, sucking dry any free thought or modernisation for those blighted peoples.

Many of the left-wing airheads who brand Islam critics 'racists' (and thereby hoping to stifle free speech) are, as well as being morally bankrupt, all too ready to line up with the true misognyists, terrorists, murderers, rapists and racists of the world.

I'll be thinking of you next time I enjoy a bacon sandwich prepared by a Muslim, as I smile, pay for my butty (the big thought on my mind will be ketchup or no ketchup) and leave, warmly saying my goodbyes.

the question:

typically in western society, men are the ones who approach women, but with some of my aspie traits, i need to work on responding better when people approach me.

i was approached by an attractive women (who i just realized after a while there is a high chance she is interested in me), and i responded in a very defensive manner. unexpected it was, i was taken out of my daily routine and a little confused. i metaphorically held her at arms length because i did not know what direction to take the conversation in. typically, that doesnt happen, but in this case i was unprepared for someone to approach me, so it did. i didn't make any huge gaffes, so i dont think its over, but next time i see her, i'm going to approach her and be a little more aggressive.

any guys on here had the same problem?

???

Back on topic. Yes, I did screw up an obvious chance of being with the person I had a crush on because it scared me that she approached me. I'm also way too shy for any intimacy though, and am afraid of losing my 'mask' when somebody gets to know me too much. But I regret it now, so my advice is to go for it and take the aggressive position from now on!

tequila- i didn't say it was a race, i was saying idiots like you rant off nonsense at any given opportunity in an inappropriate manner and end up getting people with something genuine to say tarnished with the same brush and dismissed as racist. i don't care about pedanticism, that is what happens.

don't think of me at all, your mind is quite gross at times

To the OP: when you figure out how to do this, let me know. I'm comfortable approaching women. I cannot stand being approached.

I think it's a very normal (AS normal) thing to not want a sudden, potentially emotional, disruption to just pop out of nowhere.
