Well thats a vote of confidence in online dating :lol:

With the code being closed sourced, I do have questions about the ontology and semantic understanding of the algorithms used. From The New Yorker article I can guess that software agent(s) are in use.

Profile browsing is a kin to online shopping, also online communications does have some limitations over non-verbal communication compared to some analogue forms of communication.

There is too much trust in the Mathematical sciences when it comes to software, take the financial crisis for example.

I don't normally, it was more of fluke as I was checking out Lifehacker last nite and that Gizmodo story was on its feeds.

Cheers am big and ugly enough to make up my own mind. If I what advice I'll ask for it, it was more out of interest and intellectual curiosity on other peoples views about it, that's the reason why I made this topic in the first place.
