Yeah. Too weird...and a little vulgar. This will keep the females away for sure! I do get the fact you're being truthful - this is an aspie trait - but now is the time to bend the truth a little.

I guess, but if I get involved with somebody from the site shouldn't they know i'm a bit of a "vulgar" person. I mean in my opinion words are just words.

I've always had trouble with that too, rate of disclosure. Once someone is comfortable with you, you can do that all you want. But first impressions are important. A first impression doesn't have to be good, it just can't be bad enough that you can't build on it.

On a typical Friday night I am
Spending far too much time arguing about the philosophy of Pokemon with random angry individuals on the internet.

Arguing about Pokemon algorithms over the Internet. Simpler, more to the point, and funnier. And it says the same thing.

So if you write it more like that, you can say the same thing, but say it better.

Well I'm not really arguing about Pokemon on friday night it's a joke about /v/.

I just read it and it sounds pretty good. I would take out the reference to bipolar, and also anime and pokemon but I like the rest of it. I'm guessing that I'm not reading the original version.

The reason for taking out the bipolar is that can turn people off because they may expect that you are way over the top bipolar. I'd save that information for someone after a few dates. Unless of course you are way over the top bipolar and in that case it might be good to let them know up front.

The reason for taking out anime and pokemon is just that I don't like them. ;-) I assume you are probably looking for somebody who shares your interests so it's really probably best to leave them in.

My BIL put up an ad on one site recently. It says "My name is J***, I'm 50 years old and I live with my mother". He actually lives there and takes care of her so she doesn't have to go to a nursing home, but he's gotten some hits on it.

Noted and took out the Bipolar thing.

Xenu, you just reminded me to update my own profile. It was really bad. Not that it matters any more but I can now say with peace of mind I did a better profile :P

Really...? I had thought it was kind of eccentric and funny and a lot of my irl friends think so well... Then again the people I hang around with are pretty weird like me... Is it because i'm ugly or just because of the Link behind my shoulder and me looking uncomfortable with it?

Women aren't going to notice the Zelda thing on their shoulder unless they were gamers and didn't find you attractive.
So I'd take a pic again that is more positive. Nothing wrong with funny faces, but they gotta be less scary than that lol

Well, you're not ugly but you're not gorgeous.

A guy like Wolfheart for example, can afford to make a such scary face yet girls would still find him "OMg he's smokin hawt!" - you don't.

So go little more mainstream for your main photo.

Your revised ad is MUCH better, but there are two bits that concern me and I'll tell you why.

1. The bit about you being eccentric. To a girl reading your ad it has negative connotations. Eccentric can mean you walk around the mall we ring panties on your head! Eccentic can mean you like your coffee with salt and ketchup. Eccentric can mean you like to wear wildly mismatching clothes like blue jeans, khaki shorts over it, pink tank top with fishnet shirt over it, black boots repainted with red and white and green stripes, etc. Eccentric can mean you like the temperature of a room you're in to be freezing cold or so hot you can fry eggs on the floor. A typical female can become nervous with someone she considers unpredictable or out of touch with reality.

2. I'd drop the bit about Pokeman because it makes it seem you're immature. Arguing about Pokeman? Remember, girls mature faster than guys and they have to believe any relatiinshiop they'd get into is beneficial to both parties, not just you and your interests.

1. Well I don't know what else to put for what people think of when they first meet me...

2. *sigh* okay, it was just a joke but okay.

I've noticed it's very sh***y advice lol because I'm being told to not be myself in order to get peoples (positive) attention lol.
